diesel problems

when my fuel hits quarter my car stops I've gone and checked it out my mechanic said there's no problem with my fuel gage no problem with my fuel pump he doesn't know what's happening its stopped on me 2 times hitting quarter of the fuel gage i really don't know the issues hoping someone knows the issues and knows how to resolved i really need to fix the issue and also my fuel doesn't last as long as it should for example 5 days ago i filled it up max and only lasted 5 days i don't really drive everywhere besides to work and back i really don't know what's going on with the situation

The fuel sender pick up could have a fracture and its sucking air instead of fuel. You haven't by chance stuck a hose down the filler to syphon out fuel in the past
