Hummer H2

Recommended Posts

Just spent most of today in a brand new Hummer H2 travelling from Brisbane up to Noosa and back again.

This car (truck) is an absolute beast Chevy 6 litre V8 2000RPM at 110 kph. Cruises at 140 and rides really well for such a huge automobile.

You certainly get looked at (especially as this one was bright yellow with black tint windows).

I wouldn't mind owning one but I couldn't afford to run one let alone buy one.

For such a big car leg room is at a premium and you can not really stretch out.

There is one for sale in Melb for $176k, black and massively big.

Can't imagine the fuel costs but then if you can afford to buy it you can afford to run it, maybe.

That thing would be crazy for an ICE setup.

I can see at least 8 X 15" subs in a ported custom eclosure powered by no less than 8 dedicated amps through a linkage setup running at 1/2ohm. 6 pairs of component splits powered by no less than 3 amps. Not to mention the endless arrays of LCD screens, let's say minimum of 10. Oh my, the possibilities. I better stop before I cream myself.

Personally I think it's a joke those things are on the road.

-They're Huge, But have little interior space.

-The quite capable off-road - In the open that is, on regular tight and narrow off-road trails they're just too wide.

If I could afford one, I don't see why I wouldn't pick a Range Rover instead which would look just as pimp with the right wheels and is a far better vehicle on all accounts.

Have you been watching too much PIMP MY RIDE or MONSTER GARAGE

These cars have heaps of room in them - just not for your legs. In the back you can't put your feet under the front seats and in the front you hit the firewall. Great if you have short legs.

I have a couple of pics on my phone but too lazy to download them .
