1973 RT104-MQFG Corona 2000GT

Imported as an evaluation vehicle in Feb 1974.

Photo of my fiancee December 1976 and my new TOY.

Got the girl (now my wife of 30 years) and the car.

18RG-Twin-Cam 145 BHP, P51 C/R gearbox F series diff.

Imported by AMI in 1974 for evaluation purposes.

Rejected as being too powerful for the motoring public of the day.

Top speed attained 217 kph at 6000 rpm in 5th on MM road test.

Owned since November 1976.

Fully restored and on CH plates since 2006.

P51 gearbox removed for service at 140,000 km and rebuilt with new bearings at a cost of just over $250.00.

All gear clearances within factory spec after 30 years.

Now its on Classic Historical I can provided I get an invite and a special use permit.

I love the look steve_gee.

Glad to see some old classic toyota's still knocking about. The colour is slick. Be nice to see some shots of the cabin :D
