i made 111.9kw @ wheels, in 4th gear in shootout mode. I was very surprised, i was only expecting around 100kw

i think one of the reasons the gains are that good on the CAI is prolly the CAI making up for what it should have been on the stock box + its own gains.

its almost 1am, i hope it makes sense...

well where is the Cai comparison to the stock .... and then what should the true reading be inregards to the advertised sportivo?

with a CAI, that sounds about spot on, mate. well done!

do u have a chart you could post?

I got 116.5 with CAI, exhaust system, 98 octane fuel and a bottle of octane boost..

an extra 5 kw isnt resonable........

had alot of disputes when i posted my results.

mike the only disputes with yours was that it was run in third gear instead of fourth or fith

Guys i c we r back to square 1 with the whole dyno story.

Ok with all my mods on my car wen i got mine dyno'ed it only put out just over 110kw. Look at my mods list below for my mods. Now does that mean i have been screwed n my mods havent achieved anything ? Well NO because it was my car dyno'ed on a specific dyno under certain conditions. Now if u really really really wana measure up u need to take the cars down to the same dyno on the same day so that they can b done 1 after the other this is only the most accurate way if u wish to benchmark. And even then it possibly wont b right but at least its closer than comparing dyno sheets from 2 different places. I will explain below y it still can b different.

Also again i posted a huge reply on the forum here as to what a dyno is used for. Its pure purpose is to enable the driver to draw a line in the sand so that when they mod their car they can see if they increased or decreased from that point a dyno is a TUNING tool NOT A MEASUREMENT TOOL.

Ok how about i make things interesting. When i was 100% Stock i watched with amazement as the tuning shop put out 118kw @ wheels. How u ask ???? simply altering the dyno settings and positioning of the heat sensor.

So u will say yeah well i did it in shoot out mode isnt that supposed to be standardised !!!! Well yeah the settings on the dyno will b the same BUT then u forget tyre pressure, quality of petrol, the fan blowing air mayb its providing colder air for some reason, the room pressure, the temperature....etc etc etc i can keep going for ages.

Again simply put a dyno cannot be used for 100% for measuring up boys so to screaminrolla nice figures dude like to c how well they shape up with more mods on ur car & mike i didnt have a problem with your figures the only thing i can say to u though is each time u r gona dyno it u need to peform all the prep work otherwise it truely will b a waste of time & money n u wont know if ur mods u've done have given u an increase.

Cheers

Bill
