gday guys, ive been reading about oil coolers and the opperating temps that engines should be running at. i came to the conclusion that maybe i need a small oil cooler, i did some research and found an adaptor plate to fit between my oil filter and block.

will i have low oil prssure? or does it all presurise being a thick fluid?

is it my oil pump that moves the oil through the filter?

also i require a new front bar, my indicators are installed in it is their anywhere that i can get a basic one with abit more air flow, i dont wont to make a statment with it just to replace it with something clean and tidy.

thanks guys for your help

I'm using a stock oil cooler off of a 300zx TT, cheap as and does the job well. Don't know if I lost any pressure from it since I put the pressure gauge in at the same time as the cooler setup. If you do install a cooler don't waste your time or money on a tube and fin (aka serpentine) cooler, they do nothing. Get a plate and fin FTW :toast:

Yeah, put it in myself along with a temp gauge. Only problem with the 300z cooler is your pretty much stuck with using those rubber oil lines. Since I like SBR, I'm using Pirtek oil lines which have done well so far. I'll be picking up braided lines when I overhaul it next year, along with a new cooler.

what engine do you have?

Most AE92 4afe's and 7afe's I've seen have factory fitted oil coolers.
