Hahahaha you guys are comedians

I'm picking up my plastic personalised plates tomorrow so I have to do it all over again! Lol. I'll be using that sticky foam as mentioned by Rollin Blk and Az :)

Here we go boys

ZERO vibration - I recommend plastic plates and door frame weather strips :)

Another way is to raise the plate away from the car by putting one or two nuts on the screw between the plate and car.

how do you remove the rear license plate screw...

i tried but it just wont unscrew! its soo fricken tight!

Haha nice work digging up this thread, brings back memories :toast::clap:

Do you have standard Toyota screws? I replaced mine with stainless steel allen-key ones for a nice little detail on the car.

If you've never ever removed your plates then there might be rust or calcium or something built up and dried in the holes so the screws might be stuck... try WD40?

i also sound deadened my boot and also put a layer of sound deadening on the backside of the number plates. Worked a treat. The only thing that rattles now is the rear window wiper.

No real way to stop that.

LOL you should have PM'd me, I don't usually check all the threads all the time.

Anyways... Mine came off rather easily by hand.

Try a longer screwdriver or one with a better grip.
