Ack! You mean to say you just started the car then put your foot down ??

There was a previous thread on this...basically the sportivo needs to be warmed up before the ECU allows the engine to engage lift. Without warming the engine up and revving the snot out of it is not healthy for the engine at all (any car you care about, should be warmed up before driving it spiritedly).

Perhaps someone else can help you on the beep for your cenral locking though (no idea here :P ).

Congrats on getting a nice car!!!

gday mate, welcome to the club.

as delvance said, u need to warm up the car before u try and hit lift.

as for the central locking, u'd prob need to get an alarm for the car as the stivo only comes with an immobiliser as standard.

congrats on the purchase

As for the beeping sound when you lock/unlock, late 90's Toyotas had an option where you could toggle the settings between silent or horn alert, ie: when you hit the button it beeps in time with the indicator flash. It sounded pretty poor though just having the horn go off randomly . Use "Search" and look for "Toyota Alarm Upgrade" and see what people have said about the factory option, I'm not sure if it has a cool noise alert or not. Other than that you'll have to go aftermarket

Basically NO.

The factory remote door locking ECU has no outputs for the horn unlike the dealer fitted remote locking.

The only way would be to make a custom electronic circuit and use the aftermarket plug.

Or buy a dealer fit unit. Note the dealer fit unit uses a fob and your on key lock/unlock buttons would be useless.
