High Mount Spoiler

Has anyone seen a 36 series with the high mount spoiler option? Supposedly it was an option at the time the 36 series were available but I have yet to see a car with one attached. A friend is considering upgrading the spoiler on his Sportivo, but we would like to actually see one on a vehicle first.

Pics anyone?

Yeah the high mount spoiler option was at the time was a fairly rare thing to have, but nonetheless there have been a few out there.

They look alright, but not really my type of thing so I didn't take the option for my car at the time :P

Here are a few pictures I saved from carsales.com.au a few years ago:

Also if you look at cardomain.com there are a few people who have them there too:

Thanks for the pics, this has really helped my friend. He has decided not to bother, maybe if there was a hairdryer under the bonnet it might be ok, but it is too loud for a standard V6 Sportivo.

The wing looks almost like a Honda extra.

Looks out of proportion to me.

Depends on the colour believe it or not. After looking at the photos that Terry provided I agree with you but I actually saw one on white Sportivo just recently at Kellyville / Castle Hill NSW and I must admit it actually looked good.

It's a shame the people at Toyota that prepared the Camry brochure only provided one side on picture of it, they may have sold a few more is customers could actually see what it looked like

Images of my high-rise spoiler. I was dubious at first as well (but I got it so cheap it didn't matter) but with my alloys and the colour it just fit in nicely.

It looks at it's worst from the rear, but I think the Sportivo rear skirts + fresh paintjob would make it look better.

Mudman, you've gotta spot digging up old threads!

not to contribute to the whole 'bringing old threads up again' thing, but andrew i must say i am quite jealous.

i had my camry sportivo for almost 3 years and was looking high and low for one of those. as soon as i sold mine, this one popped up and you snapped it up! :P

How do you get or keep your headlights as crystal clear as that! Mine seem to have marks inside them...

Mine had teh same issue, the headlights in that photo are about 3 weeks old. I wax the headlights every time I wax the car to prevent exterior yellowing.

I bought them from here: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-Camry-Sportivo-02-04-Black-Headlights-Left-Right-/400129702288?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d2996b990

I was happy with their service and the DEPO non-oem lights do the job
