Hi,

I've just bought a 97 jap import GT. It's auto and on the shift column there are 2 buttons. One has PWR on it and the other has MAN. I presume the pwr button is a power button and gives the car 1000 more revs. Does anyone know what the man button is for?

its like my ex's supra

i think its for traction control? or lets you shift manually?

Yeah the auto box on my supra has the same MAN button (no power button though).

MAN mode means you shift the gears yourself and generally means the gearbox won't

change gears automatically. I would expect the Caldina box is similar.

Oh,guys in Caldina GT version 4-gear automatic gearbox without manaul shifting! :)

PWR button - to shift at 5000-6000 rpm ( power driving mode)

MANU button - it's a winter\econom mode then shift next gear at 2000 rpm.

Sometimes use MANU mode then a lot of snow on the Moscow streets.... :)
