it was probably the carby cleaner that was the sollution ^_^ problems gone did a full service, changed sparkies, oil filter and oil, flushed coolant, used carby cleaner, used petrol injector cleaner. wanted to change fuel filter but didn't know how to reach it, my friend from toyota will be coming by to do it for me lol thanks for all the help guys!

spotted a nice lowered silver prefacelift sportivo with black rims with polished lip, sports grill and i think a large TRD sticker on the front windscreen on the cumberland around 3pm look sweet and also spotted a black prefacelift with sports grill turning onto thorny road at about 7pm

not that i know of, have you checked to see if the bulb is blown? can you take a picture at what you have done?

Does it idle hunt during this? Is the AC on or off? idle hunt? no the ac is not on

hey daniel lol thanks for the comments everyone, well, i don't hear no air leaks if thats what its suppose to sound like, my friend thought it was either an air leak or petrol, he checked the hoses though didn't find any leaks, and then he thought it was the petrol, i do recall walking behind the car after i've turned it off and it did smell funny. with the throttle body, i think it should still be good, i am not sure how to check this, and i meant 100~800rpm it feels like its trying to bog out. i've always been running 98, i've been uses vortex since i bought the car, but decide to try bp ultimate for the last two weeks, idle started playing up on the second week of bp ultimate

hi i was just wondering, my car is idling funny, when i warm up the car its fine, revs sit about 1100rpm. after i drive it for a short time say 5mins and pull to the side revs drop and bounce from 100rpm to 800rpm has anyone come across this problem or have any ideas? and just to add i have no engine modifications at all tiet.

lol sorry, xD yeah the problem is a double filament bulb doesn't fit in the socket, so you have to modify it to fit :S and the second problem was, there is only one conductor plate, so i had to solder the two wires straight onto it, because i was lazy to modify it for two conductor plates lol

smart idea on the JDM taillight modification ^_^, im looking for a better method to fitting a double filament bulb and sitting it on two wires ^_^" im thinking of a plastic clip with two conductor plates or something like that

lol my cars actually a 2003 model, just with the 2005 tail lights :) i say the corolla looks funny without the skirt :) it looks empty i think the skirt is universal, fits both facelift and prefacelift i got an aftermarket rear skirt, its not the genuine one, picked mine up at Carmate in villawood Sydney for $250 unpainted :(

hi and welcome to the forums :) well yes as you've said, the front lights as well as the whole front end is different between the two models, its referred as the prefacelift model and the facelift model (facelift being the newer model). what is also different is the rear spoiler, apparently the facelift version is slightly longer, though i never notice this and i don't think many others have. and as well as the stock cd palyers, the prefacelift is stock with a 6 cd stacker, and the facelift comes with a mp3 cd player. besides that i don't know anything else that is different :) sportivos are fun to drive .... anyone feel free to add on or correct me xD
