Just went on a Honda cruise tonight, was in my friend's DC5R. A very nice sports car indeed :) But the Sportivo is just as cool, performance won't let you down i reckon. Won't be much of a problem to get a decent suspension setup going on the Corolla.

How much did the set cost you man?

Hehehe nice seat covers, thought they were real bucket seats for a moment lol.

Is anyone watching the show at the moment?! Its so cool, i swear im going to watch it every week now. They come up with the most creative ideas to turn a **** box car into the hottest stuff around! Im in awe with some of the things they put inside the cars :)

Remove the "protection options'. They do bugger all seriously. So you would save alot there. I believe other members will agree with me on this one.

Man i wonder how long stock will last for a 05 Sportivo. Stopped production last month, do you think the final shipment of sportivo has arrived to Australia by now? Im racing against the clock almost since i want to get one soon but doesn't seem likely until early next year >.< Especially a white sportivo.

I heard there might be a Mazda 3 MPS coming out in the next year or so? Was reading OzMazda forum. So it would be a seriously hot hatch or sedan or whatever.

Well, with the older cars, they hardly have whole engine plastic covers unlike todays new cars. So you probably talking about the actual rocker cover, which is yeah as i said, quite difficult to take off if you dont know what your doing.

If your going to flay past people at 10-20km/hr faster then other cars, ur increasing the chance of getting caught and thus losing your license ;)

HAS anyone actually tried painting the rocker cover itself? Would be quite a task taking it off. Paint it red like the Honda Type R engines :)

Man, that veilside front bumper is the ugliest thing i have seen on the Corolla. Looks so wierd i swear. Just doesn't suit the Corolla at all!

Justin id say go with lightweight 17s. Both looks and performance. Its affectively in between 16s and 18s, get the best of both worlds. 16s rims just will end up looking pretty small in the end. Cars with 18s pull up beside yours and will make your 16s look like 13s hehehe. 205/45R17 tyres!

No they're not!!!! ← Well its just the centre that is slightly different, but both in similiar pattern. Check out the lamborghini gallardos and there mags have similiar design/pattern.

Is it better to get a clutch with high clamping pressue? It would mean more power is transferred through out the wheels eh?!

If the retail prices that was mentioned for each of those hot hatches, then man, its cheaper then i thought. The XR5 and VXR are hot cars! Well the XR5 is decent i would say, but the VXR looks seriously good. The VXR has such a nice smooth hatch body. Man if the Supercharged Corolla is going to retail for about $36k, that money seems alrite with all the other upgraded bits but no leather hmmmmmm. Also, man im starting to like those mag design wheels, they also appear on the Lambos, looks pretty nice hehehe :)

I guess we cant change the name of the forum. Only the people who visit this forum would know what TOCAU or TOC stands for. Thats why the url name of www.oztoyota.com would be good if we had it. There are tons of Corolla owners out there, and if they remembered a catchier name of oztoyota or something, then they can remember and check out the site. Wouldn't hurt to have an extra 100 members or so ehehhe. The Corolla board is the most active board though =/ I guess there is a dedicated Supra or MR2 forum for aussie owners. TOCAU is known as the Corolla forum me says!

I like with the OzHonda forum where it has the "Past Events/Reflections" section so after the meet up, people can discuss about that event. Instead of continuing it in the official info thread.

Well about $20AUD a year for the domain name. I feel we need to get a smaller catchier name so people can remember the url. Even when advertising on the Toyota cars. i wish www.oztoyota.com was available to us, would be heaps better.

The supercharger can be turned on and off?! That is freaking cool, save fuel when needed, wow, down the track i think supercharging would be sweet once i get a sportivo. Im thinking ahead of myself already, jee >.<
