I'd forget about the stivo and gun for a polo GTI. its a smaller car but the power is great and the build quality makes the stivo with all its issues look like a bucket of bolts. If you can hold out to see if something built out of japan comes to replace it then perhaps...

A nice man came today and paid for the remainder of the bling bling rolla and drive it away. It will go to his wife as a baby transporter and it is a very safe assumption that bling rolla is gone from the modding scene. I'd like to thank: Danz - For his invaluable advice and for starting me down the path of the moddder. BigBum - For sourcing those biatching chromies which i still miss The rest of you who bought my performance / bling parts. Now if you all excuse me, I have some ordering to do for 20 " chromes for the volkswagen. :P P.s. I'll still be on these forums as a bling advisor.

THis is the car to watch people. FYI the power intake and ex-blueman's stivo zorst from my bling rolla have gone to our friend here. Upcoming events. (1) ECU reset (2) Seeming lost of torque (3) Wakes up one morning (200kms later) and is able to out drag dcr5s Unfortunately the bling rims didn't come here so there's no increase in sexiness :(

Hi all, bling rolla's replacement Mr. Passat 1.8 Turbo was at the tracks the other day spectating and my mates let me do a run to test top speed on the straight. I was hitting 210 on 5th gear @ 5000rpm and there was still go in the engine and lotsa track, but the speed just wouldn't climb anymore... I've heard of speed limiters to 220, but 210? what do u guys reakon?

Just pick up the older toyota man, sure the 1zze engine is great and sure the new deisgn is much nicer. But the old ones are value for money in that its still a tough as nails corolla and will do the job well as a mummy mobile. Unless u want a dual use vehicle (i,e, u'll drive it too) then why not you chip in the extra and buy a newer one? oh BTW, there's this bloke with a fantastic metallic red rolla fro sale with free17 in chromes. perhaps u should PM me about it ;)

Ok, can someone for the rwd ppl please step up and be the contact? post up here when you have contacted NT and spoken to simon about the arrangements, else i'll email simon and tell him to just run fwd cars on the day. I don't think it'll be good if the fwd ppl rock up at 10ish only to find the rwd ppl didn't turn up coz it was too early.

Dyno day is this sunday ppl :D . I've emailed NT and asked them to set up the dyno for RWD in the morning. now we need someone to represent the RWD fellas and contact NT (its called the sportivo boys dyno day) to organize the morning time. so RWD will run first then the dyno will be set up for fwd. 28 confirmed so far. its going to be a good day...

The large screw with the metal teeth on the edge brings it up/down but its doesn't do much good as the rolla headlight reflectors disperse the light too wide anyway. its not too bright, u're just not used to it. just aim them as low as u can and drive.

Hey Lucio, In case the bling bling rolla is sold before then, and what with the current heavy workload at work can you take over the organizing of this? Pretty much all that's left to do is to email/ ring simon a time to start and to set it up for RWD first for our RWD friends. and then another call just before the day itself to confirm. If i can make it there in bling rolla or new car then i'll surely be there.

HID kits are very very very easy to install, kits come with a special HID bulb which goes where ur normal bulb lives (just press the wire sping thingy that holds it in place.) and then plug the bulb into the provided ballast and plug the ballast into the stock plug for the bulb... done. All in all takes 20 min even if u are being very very slow and careful. there, u've just saved 80-150... OMG! Northy was a noob once too! :P Just kidding, but it goes to show how this forum will take a noob and slowly educate them into crazy modders (Power FC anyone? ) .

But a factory made packag from apexi will be more reliable no? Having spoken to Bill(Xoom) and the tuners. It seems a custom power fc job is a rather tempermental beast to tame. What with possible problems in the electrical system that lead extra loads to the alternator if the wiring isn't done right etc etc... I guess if i had a stivo, i'd wait for the factory loom
