I would participate in the group buy but I think this is gonna have to be a post-tax purchase. :(

I thought i'd try my hand at photoshopping them onto my Gold ZR6. I think I did pretty good but I forgot the new taillights have a slight buldge out of the sides, and i totally removed it hahah.
Honestly, I don't mind it. :)

It's like my mesh grill when I first got it. It just didn't look good in photos, but in person it looked quite alright.
I can't beleive you actually did it. Especially after what you said on Facebook after I took a photo of the Black Facelift ZR6 with them.
Question is, will they have the same 'DJKOR Approval' on a Gold ZR6? I'm not sure.
Oh well, will have to search around and see if I can get some sort of LED tail light for my gen 6 Camry. Not hard to find:
eBay link - All Smoked LED TailLight for TOYOTA CAMRY 07-09 TRD
Also be VERY careful with that particular seller. Tash tried to purchase some for her Camry and well let's say she was put off by them after the seller was very dodgy. Says its in Morabbin VIC, no way. all from overseas. Very hard to communicate with etc. Just be wary :P

During my car life I've used many different fuels. My AE82 seemed to be the best on Caltex Vortex 98 out of all the fuels. Then I moved to the Falcon, that car I had a really bad event with BP when I filled the car with BP Ultimate and it pretty much did some real major damage to the engine. Turned out there was water that contaminated the fuels and yeah, since then I went to V-Power and never looked back.
That was about 5 years ago now, maybe I should consider trying BP Ultimate again to see what it's like.

Man I only just read this entire thread... Took me about 3 hours haha, I am absolutely amazed at the work and effort (and amazingly cheap wrecker purchases) you've done on this AE82. My first car was an AE82 and sometimes I really miss it haha. Good times! :)
I really wanna see this AE82 that's for sure! :) I have started a savings fund so I can do something like this. (The Aurion is great and all but I don't want to ruin it haha.)
Really great ride, keep up the good work. :)

Plus there will be a new 'performance' item on my car heheheheh..
Indeed there will be. ;)

I've been informed by Tash that there is an updated cruise route to be uploaded but I clearly forgot to catch up with her to obtain it tonight. We'll get the updated route uploaded as soon as possible. :)

Well I have some *slightly* bad news - apparently the run from Marysville down to Warburton features around 5-10km of gravel road and is quite narrow, so if we encountered oncoming traffic we would have to move over onto the shoulder. So I will need to re-jig the end half of the cruise route this evening, probably go from Marysville back over the black spur and then look for another way back into Carlton.
Will let you all know when I've updated the route and posted it again, hopefully Nathan is around tonight so I can get the newer version hosted lol
I'm here every night. lol. ;P
This time its gonna cost you haha. :P kidding.
Also, I think you have a fascination with narrow gravel roads... Circa October 2009.
I think its time to jack up our cars boys.

not sure if this will work
nope :P

I'm just trying to picture the way thats been made up. I wish you coulda been able to get a photo of underneath to show us exactly how its mapped out. I'd take it to my exhaust guys straight away and go, "DO THIS." :P
The idea of having a cat on only one bank and then the main cat after the merge doesn't really sit well with me. Personally, if you were to remove the cat from one bank, you may as well remove the other and get an O2 sensor simulator. Just all personal opinion really.
oh I completely missed that! I guess thats why i got confused when he mentioned two cats in the sentance.
Mmm yeah I'd rather keep all 3 still there.
-
Finally a sound Im happy with, a sporty note where its needed and a nice purr down low, not the ear ringing drone there was. so it the end I have the "Y" pipe mod (minus the rear pipe cat) flex, main cat, small resonator, a 15 inch perforated hot dog down to the triple flow mufflers.

It's good to see variety in ths cruise attendees this time. :)
I'd like to see a wider variety of cars rather than a gold camry, a gold aurion and a bunch of ZRE152R's :P (no offence to the ZRE guys, i used to own one. ;P)
Should be interesting!

...FWD, understeer...is bought up more often than needed
how often do we (drivers of family cars) floor it mid corner?
in the other times, all 3 family cars in question have big, heavy, front-mounted engines and will be noise heavy no?
Either way if you floor it in the Aurion the safety features are there to prohibit direct understeer anyway. That's just my two cents. :P

haha Guni. No rally stages this time. I am assured. :P
-
Okay we'll start this list for attendance so Tash can book Garage Cafe.
1. Tofuboi - Cruise (No Dinner) :(
2. Tash - Cruise & Dinner
3. 1stKill - Cruise & Dinner
Add ya name in so we know. :)
-
For your fog lights, that is WAY EXPENSIVE. Just pick up a set on eBay for like $150. You will get new fog lamp assemblies and two new bulbs.
$400 was same price I had to pay when my Levin ZR's foglight was smashed too. Apparently they're the same/similar fittings.
-
I have an idea!
Guni to lead the pack. :D
'nuff said. :P
If we can all keep Guni's pace, we should give ourselves a pat on the back. ;)

Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
I think this explains it pretty well.
EDIT: Bugger embedding's disabled on the video but check it out via youtube anyway. -
I get some dyno figures after I have a Motec system installed this weekend.
I will be waiting impatiently for this.
Would you be kind enough to give us at least a hint of which Motec you would be fitting and if this will disable any features on the car?
Seconded :P I'd love to know the results of this.
-
Well because I totally work at a douchebag company where we don't get the 8th off work. (Think telephone and the letter T :P)
So i may have to bail on the garage cafe at the end depending on how we're doing.
Will keep posted tho.
Oh and I have a 21st the night before, so im gonna pull up nicely ;S lol
-
Bugger, I thought i was the first to find it. :(
-
Yeah I'd go the right of the 3 pics. It's pretty much the same as DJKOR's grill and that's awesome..
Also Daryl, speaking of that grill...
Is it just me or does that far right small pic look familiar? <_< >_>
EDIT: I just checked through DJKOR's thread in Members Rides and there is a photo that looks ALMOST identical, but the angle is slightly off. Bugger. :P

*jacks up the suspension and gets the rally tyres going*
Right, whos up for that Rally Stage again? Come on Guni I know you want to. :P
Okay, on a real note. Going up to Marysville might be a good idea as the roads leading that direction were quite good. (Even if I did almost fall off the side of the bloody cliff, dodgy freakin' narrow roads.)
Tash and I already discussed that we're not allowed to go on my windy road near my house in Sunbury as that's where I busted two rims and Tash doesnt want to try it. :P But a drive up this direction wouldn't go astray. If only we had a good place to go...
Oh well count me on for that weekend anyway! Oh I know! EPIC WEEKEND LONG CRUISE! :P
...no. :P
-
I woulnd't mind a set if it cost cheaper... Talking about cheaper, I saw the malay web, it's half the price, thinkin of gettin it off em!! :o And talkin about Ultra racing, where's the web link for them?
Yeah well that's exactly it, I reckon they have gone up a fair bit in price since the last time I looked at them :( Not cool..
Hahah Daryl & Nathan - I will stay out of that one! Isn't your rear sway bent Nathan? :P
No, that was the lower front. Rear's fine. :P
-
Very interesting reading overall - this is probably one of the next things on my list, getting the front strut and rear sway. I don't mind a bit of spirited cornering heheh, especially on our cruises!
Seems like the best combo for the Camry would be to stick to the 19mm rear sway then, just looking on the Ultra Racing website now and it's the only choice available anyway. Definitely a price increase though, $218 now for the front strut and $323 for the rear sway, plus $17 postage for each item.
Seeings the thread has been revived could we maybe get a group buy going? Try and get a bit of a discount heheh
You can have my old rear sway bar. I'll get the new one and everyone will see my epic oversteer and then i'll be a member of the Guni 'Oversteer is Bad mmkay?' Club. :P
Okay jokes aside. I am interested in the upgraded rear sway bar. However right now the car seems to have an....okay balance. But I don't drive near as hard as Daryl does, so he might need it more than I would. :P

Agreed! The more the merrier! :)
Also Guni, I am appointing you cruise leader this time. Mostly because I said so, but a little because well... I said so. :P
