  1. u design it, ill buy it. $5. lol.. agreed. I got a Toolchest at work, tools only. Id hate for oil to be in there.. dripping around.. can's wobbling what not.. going through the draws to see what can i need, when if its on the shelf i can see the label clear and simple. wish i had spare tyres :(
  2. um while on the topic about exhausts.. had a chat with a local exhaust place about changing the exhaust system (cat back) on the sportivo.. this is what he said' Daniel you would be looking at around $600.00 for the system. I would not do this however you will find that the exhaust system is quite big enough and it is also stainless steel i would just change the rear muffler. You would be looking around $270.00 to 320.00 for a good quality X force cannon or around $200.00 for a 2/12 in muffler with chrome tip. now i wouldn't mind changing the rear muffler but to a cannon ?? and is that brand any good ?? whats the best thing i can do to my rear muffler?? champions
  3. my guess... clockspring. if u change it yourself carefull not to turn the new one as if you turn it more than u should u will break it. had the same problem a few days ago with a ve commodore ssv goodluck and let us know how u go..
  4. well as you have previously mentioned it goes away when you release your brake pedal pointing into the direction of the booster, as said by DJKOR.. perhaps the diaphram in your brake booster has a leak or the hose supplying your booster has a leak.. have you noticed since the sound has accured the brake pedal isn't as easy to press by any chance + when u play with the brake pedal your rpm goes up and down?? if its a vacuum leak, your idle will go funny.. try what DJKOR said.
  5. so the screws became lose after he done the oil change??
  6. ahh... so your at the lights.. in neutral..what if you put your foot on then of then on the off and play with the brakes, does the sound go then come back??? can you feel your brake pedal pulse?? like... when you lock up with ABS.. btw auto or manual?
  7. a bomb falling... so like a vacuum leak? like shhhhhhhhh ?? but u can't hear it while going cause your motor noise goes over the 'bomb falling' sound? never heard a bomb falling so wont know what it sounds like
  8. sorry pic isn't the best, done on phone camera in carpark. 6000k
  9. lol ive gotten a shorter antenna aswell.. aprox 16cm. the stock ones are tooo long it looks like a remote control car.
  10. sorry no expert, but i think it needs a new ecu/piggy back system that gets rid of the rev limiter.. i wouldnt bother makeing it rev harder unless you got engine mods first.. id think u would just cause more engine wear on the motor without serious mods.. thats just my opinion anyway..
  11. by 'more' u mean longer duration? new ecu im guessing/piggy back system??
  12. Welcome.. dont think u can just put a poddy on, as the MAF sensor is built into the box, correct me if im wrong? U can go the k&n panel, but u might aswell go the TRD CAI, which is a poddy that is behind ya fog light.. I wouldnt bother with new plugs, will hardly do anything, and u said bigger leads? doesnt it have direct coils to the plugs? sorry i have never checked.. with the rear skirt, check out this thread.. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=19911 , started by TRD sportivo. when i take off and i get wheel spin, its asif the front bounces.. maybe its similar to the 'axlel tramp' you describe.. i get it when i get any wheel spin once again, welcome
  13. Don't Canadians have good jokes?? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...ries%26_fvi%3D1
  14. Welcome i can say i had a smirk on my face, but not that funny.. lol... So whats your ride?
  15. They wont be avoiding anything costly, If its an expensive part and an expensive problem to fix, dealers love it as they get paid for the big job from warranty. They simply put the claim through, send the faulty item back if asked by warranty, part is inspected and then dealer gets paid. perhaps they are more so lazy? try another Toyota dealer? New car warranty is covered by any toyota dealer in the country. It's only when used car is the fact where you have to take it to the dealer u got the car from. Maybee say it's getting worse to the other dealer?? that might give the hint its a real problem not ' Road tested vehicle, found operation of motor under slight throttle to be normal operation due to fuel shut off valve "
  16. lol good one, kill the brain cells while sniffing acid lol
  17. a friend who works at toyota said to me they use 20w-50, owners manual says : - 10w30 - 15w40 - 20w50 the thinner you go, its for colder climates
  18. check your boot, you havn't missed anything in the boot after shopping have u? or back seat under your seat?
  19. k, will let you know how it goes once arrived, car's not here so when i get the chance ill have to drive where car is located, its 'kinda' in storage atm, at brothers house, available to pick up anytime tho lol.. cheers fella's, will let you's know where i place the ballast too..
  20. i know on my falcon its on the compliance plate, where your vin is.. look there??
  21. not really, i wouldn't recommend taking it down the the corner servo for a service tho.. go somewhere u know is good.. also make sure they use quality oil.. and the specified oil for your engine.
  22. not sure, but dont expect it to be cheap... by the book for a sportivo 05' it says Oil Oil Filter Says in tank fuel filter <- not sure if they do that... Air Filter Brake Fluid why are you getting toyota to service it may i ask? warranty purposes??
