lol....I used to work for a chip tuning company...i know for a fact that this resistor mod will not work. Used to work for old mechanical injection Mercs..eg old C180's but it won't work on ur late model Toyota... We had several attempts at tuning the new style toyota's with a piggyback system (will not mention name)..we actually tried a few..but was never successful....From memory, modding the fuel was not a major drama...however modding fuel mixtures doesn't do much in terms of performance....we tried to tap the ignition timing...however the new 1ZZ engines from memory had individual Coils per cylinder...thus making harder to control....and also not cost effective... In regards to the ECU...there is no FLASH chip to desolder and reprogram....The main program in the Toyota ECU, and like all other JAP ECU's are embeded with in the ECU's Processor....Also....most of these processors are proprietry....therefore almost impossible to read.... (ps - sorry about my spelling)

I got 05 Stivo....what size are the fog lamps? I got the phillips H7 white globes for the main headlights... i wanna change them all at once...just need the size of the fog lamps....anyone have a clue?

Hey Guys.. I know this might not be on the right topic but it still got to do with a thing i have on my 2 1/2 week old Sportivo.... I have found that under light acceleration, between 2000rpm 3000rpm, there is a "spraying noise"...its really hard to explain...i've noticed it ever since i picked it up... the sound can be explained in so many ways...eg "spraying noise", "light pinging", "loose chain noise" , "metal grinding"..... not too sure what it is.... I'm gonna get it checked out at first service....but has anyone had this experience? Also...there may be a problem with my clutch...the other day when i decided to give it to my car...i felt some sort of grind and vibration on my clutch pedal...felt like i wasn't pushing the clutch far enough or i'm pushing the clutch too slow..is this the problem everyone been complaining about with their clutches? and by the way....i've only used Synergy 8000 (mobil) and Optimax.... car felt slightly better with Optimax....Gotta try BP Ultimate on my next tank.

i got mine for just under $27000 driveaway.... milked alarm, tints, paint protection and mats. I told them crap about someone offering $26500....I tried for the extended warranty...no go...i guess i ran out of milk....mines exactly 2 weeks old tommorow....just under 1000kms....05/05 build.

Got mine last friday been driving it around melbourne....it's damn sweet!!! i checked mine all over before i got it and its alll okay! Mines also sterling silver. build date is 05/05.... only thing i noticed is that the gear changes aren't that smooth and take abit to get use to. Also...the wheel alignment is abit off....but 1st free service should have that fixed up! Had a couple of girls in the back over weekend...one of them drag there ***** accross my new leather seats...now its creased.... :( Been cruising as the engine is still new....can't wait to after my 1st service!!!

Hey thanks guys! I'm from Melbourne! I got the call from the dealer today...1 day after my deposit..I'll be picking my car up Friday 23rd Sept! I think thats the same same "topjollybird" is getting it! our cars gonna have the same birthday...kinda...lol If anyone out there looking to buy one new...no trade in...its easy to milk a dealer...just need patience... My first offer was very very unrealistic... i was aiming it at $25K drive away... make up crap that its your budget blah blah...dealer will automatically tell you its impossible... most dealers will then lay a deal on the table ... but before they lay it on the table...they will ask you to commit... DO NOT COMMIT ... but say stuff like "well it depends on how close to the budget you are"....in my case they layed $28900 drive away.... i got up and left...went on to about 3-4 other dealers and basically same story and then lied..at the dealer i bought it from i told them another dealer offered $27000...he said he could only beat the price by $100 or so.... now...this is where u milk the extra's! these is where dealers say they gonna loose there job and stuff...pfft...don't buy this act...it isn't your problem. if they do it they do it...if they don't, oh well...your choice if u wanna buy.... Hey Guys, I'm new to this forum as well.... I put a deposit on my 05 Silver Sportivo today!! Got a good deal for it...been haggling for the last month...finally signed the dotted line. Got few extras Alarm, Tint, mats, paint protect...i tried for extended warranty but failed.... final price was below $27K drive away Mines already in stock so they just gotta prep it up with all the extra's i milked outta them. Should be able to pick it up this Saturday. Love to hear what tips you experienced owners have!!!
