  2. Such an interesting thread haha, might as well join in name's Peter, 21 years old, single, Melb south-east currently studying my 4th year of civil engineering/science at monash. loves long cruises down to rye late on summer nights :D but i got to admit, i am rather surprised too, on how many females there are on this forum! Although, this ratio kind of reminds me of my engineering lectures.. HAHAHA
  3. yes, i want to know as well, thinking about getting one.
  4. with my zre, i get on average 7.5-8.1L per 100km, depending how much i floor it haha yeah, always granny shifting uses more petrol, something about the ecu? i think i read somewhere. i always shift at 2.7-3k rpm, atm it seems like the best spot to shift (for my car) and maintain decent fuel consumption =) EDIT: forgot to mention that i usually use shell premium, bp 95 and bp ultimate.
  5. spotted stock white facelift sportivo this morning at monash university parking in commerce blue parking, where old carpool was.
  6. yesterday i had to hit hard on the brakes as the person in front of me decided to brake hard as soon as she saw the lights turn yellow (first time broke that hard). and no, didn't hear any grinding sounds.. :o
  7. will do =) but the guy above is selling his stockies!!
  8. That's really Sick-made Auris unreal low:) nice rims. and i like the colour of the car. yeah that's one simple, clean sick-*** car. maybe ill do that to mine but bronze rims! =)
  9. nice ride! looks like you did heaps of work on it from that link!!
  10. not animal yet mate..hehe awesome car, nice "toufu" sticker with "shah" infront - clever. =)
  11. Haha! Don't worry mate, I'll most likely cruise to Sydney sometime, so when I do, I'll give a yell! =) hehe
  12. really?? which ones? i asked some places for quotes for anz ones but none have replied yet..
  13. If you are going for the Corolla factory alloys buy them second hand (preferably off someone from this froum) as brand new they are just over $1000 a piece (I have had quotes from two dealers) Yeah like jps said, buy it from someone on this forum. This guy is selling his stockies, maybe ask or pm him. Don't know if he's still selling them though.. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=20406 I would sell you mine, but I haven't save up enough for the rims I want haha. Goodluck mate.
  14. Hi all, Been a Toyota fan for a while (Toyotas run in the family) but only joined this forum recently. Been driving my mum's '01 corolla for 5 years and DIY maintenance. And after much sweat and hardwork, I decided to go buy a '09 Levin ZR. I was thinking of '99-00 STI, S15, R32 GTR or RWD R34 but decided go with the Corolla, as it will be reliable and still be here in at least 5 years time LOL. Baby is dead stock at the moment. No mods as of yet. Possible mods are full exhaust and CAI, springs or coilovers with these anz bronze 18's wheels below.. after a nice and simple clean look. =) Peter.

  16. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experiences with buying from Ryda (www.ryda.com.au) or Soundmaster (www.soundmaster.com.au) and online stores like these? Thanks!
  17. Ahh if that's the case, I'll just get that then. It's worth a try; if I don't like it, I guess I just have to buy a headunit haha. All I have to do now is decide on which amp & sub to buy and save up a bit more =) hehe Btw, you said that you tuned the stock speakers.. you meant tuning them as like adjusting the screws, right? AND Thanks for the reply! Very helpful!! Peter
  18. Rolla Boy, the rca line converter you suggested ran fine? How was the quality? I just asked one of my mates and he said he's using a JL Audio one (which is quite expensive.. :( but no doubt good quality) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/JL-AUDIO-CLEANSWEEP...tem140300485615 I don't want a new head unit but I love my bass. If the one you used has decent quality and enough to run one or two 12" subs (most likely one) + amp, then I'll get that! =) EDIT: What about this? Probably not worth it? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/RCA-Car-4-Channel-L...p3286.m20.l1116 Cheers Peter
