Hey Alex,long time no speak/type :D
awesome upgrade mate and yeah i did say upgrade,i loved your EVO but this is a whole new level of comfort and style, look forward to seeing what shoes she ends up with

The hissing could be the gains on the amps are to high, this causes a hiss of sorts
as for the boot rattle/vibrations you might want to sound deaden the crap out of it...1/4 panels, boot lid, rear panel and some foam rubber strips behind the number plate helps, just keep adding sound deadner until it stops.

Another little rant from me,i'm guessing this pizzes most of you off aswell...6.45am this morning (virtually empty) on the Frankston fwy i saw a learner sitting in the right hand lane doing about 10-15km's under the speed limit,as i approached 2 other cars were right up it's azz,i over took all 3 of them in the left hand lane and continued on,as i looked back i could see high beams being flashed and prolly horns going off,my problem is not really with the driver but more so with the fully licensed driver/idiot teaching them,i can't believe that they are being taught this from the start,no wonder the right hand lane on the fwy's and other 80km+ roads are becoming the slow lane. :(
when i was a lad my dad taught me to drive and at every opportunity he would tell me to keep left unless i was overtaking, and he bloody meant it...and it's stuck to this day and served me well.

I don't think so...i start thinking of trains that are computer controlled and they still to run into each other causing havoc, imo there are to many varibles to risk the safety of yourself and loved ones and Joe Public,as Vick said may aswell use public transport.
On Foxtels Discovery channel they have a show called Robot Cars, they use computer controlled vehicles in everyday situations and you should see some of the failures ,but in saying that it does seem this technolgy is on it's way.

I agree that I am wasting my money, but modding car is waste of money anyways,
:D
I concur modding cars is a big waste of money but heaps of fun and i get a kick out of it,imo it's healthier and sometimes cheaper than drugs & gambling. :D

for a daily driver i would go 19"x9" all round with a 245mm tyre and you will have no scrubbing issues, but as said above 9.5" or even 10" will fit on the rears...just
offset and how low you roll will also come into play

Once again great work mate and congrats on making her legal
followed this thread from the start and i must say your fabrication skills are awesome,no job seems to hard, had to laugh when you mentioned you had to take it to the mechanic man to be checked over, sounds a tad sarcastic and so it should :D
p.s hows Frankensump doing

All good mate...means the family is growing and there just the pains :D

Some old people really pizz me off...we mow lawns for alot of body corprates and are only supposed to do the common areas (areas used by all the residence).Every now and then an old resident will come out and ask if we can mow and clean up their rear yards which is personal space, normally not a drama and if maintained regulary should only cost about $10-$20 as it's small and we are already onsite, but what these older residents do is wait 2-3 months then ask us to mow a freaking forest and yep you guessed it for the princely sum of $10-$20...had a $10 lawn today that took 45mins and filled a greenwaste sulo bin ,this ole duck (92yrs and still kickin azz) really got her monies worth.
problem is they have been customers for 20+yrs and also speak to the body corprate managers so we have to be careful what we say and do.I think they know how to work the system :(

sorry to burst your bubble guys, but i do think it's inappropriate to be taking photos of every toyota you see fitted with personalised plates, thinking it will be a tocau member
just sayin'...but a logo is different!
and Lee (1stKill) i have to admit eviltwin's sportivo would sound pretty snazzy ;)
Yeah i sort of agree about posting peoples cars showing the regos online,i personally don't want my rego showing in pics on the net, maybe blank out the numberplates before posting....but i do love your work Jeffy :D
okay, ill start editing out plates, usually just send em by phone, although no hassles with a quick 1 minute edit :]
I'm for blanking out the plates on photos of cars with standard issue plates. But for those with custom plates, it's debatable. Some say they should be given the same privacy as those with standard issue plates, but then again, those with custom plates want their plates to be known?
my thoughts exactly ..
Your a good man Jeffy, never any hassle :D
and yeah i should have mentioned that custom plates are open slather,as said above theses peeps want to be seen.
