  1. Get a lever bar onto the inner cup of the shaft and beat it with a hammer... You'll notice on the inner metal part there are some lips, put the lever bar on those lips so you have something decent to hit and they'll pop straight out...
  2. Sportivo's are known for snapping shafts... Had a few done at work including my own one which had 35,000kms on it...
  3. Is there fluid in the reservoir??? Sounds like a master cylinder or slave cylinder problem to me...
  4. Tuffy does awesome work for a great price... Had a bit of work done there over the years... Quality work and long lasting exhaust systems...
  5. If you want to lower the car you're gunna have to buy springs so do your research and find the ones you want... Much better off getting the same springs all round and keeping the car at a level height... Will look and feel heaps better on the road... In regards to your brakes, might not be adjusting them correctly, drums could be worn out and exceeding max diameter, shoes could be worn out, cylinders could be leaking onto the shoes causing slippage, cable might be stretched and worn, very hard to tell without looking at the car... Best off pulling the drums off and having a good look and see whats going on...
  6. Sounds like tyre tracking to me... The tyres find the grooves in the road and try to stay in them when you're braking... Sometimes happens when larger wheels are fitted... Nothing can be done, just the way it is...
  7. Yeah, they've made some little holes in the plastic but I'm not worried... Rarely scrubs and I never have a full car... Only one passenger in the front max...
  8. I'm running 19x8's on mine, got the guards rolled, lowered 3 inches and rarely scrubs :)
  9. I save every cent I get from working... Weekend work and after hours mechanical work pays for my bills and cars, everything I earn from mon to fri goes in the bank and stays there...
  10. Welcome to the forums dude... I've got one in Sydney, even I don't see it anymore haha... Still waiting to rebuild the motor, guess I'll do it one day... There is a nice silver one with trimmed interior and Alpine boot install somewhere on the Gold Coast tho...
  11. The knocking noise comes from the intermediate steering shaft between the steering column and the steering rack...
  12. Always easier to park by yourself and do what you wanna do... :)
  13. Installed mine with the side spacers and it almost looks factory... Much better than having an ugly pocket at the bottom...
  14. Ahhhhh, well that explains your colour difference... The only way you'll get anything done is to take it up with the dealer... I don't think Toyota will cover anything due to the parts being swapped... Keep hassling the dealer and they might just get sick of you and agree to cover the costs for repairs...

  16. If you've got all the wires hooked up correctly, the unit is working but nothing on the screen I'd say it's stuffed...
  17. They've obviously tried to bring the paint up by polishing it and thats where the swirl marks have come from... The bumpers are always a different colour on new cars these days so don't compare the boot to the bumper... But I can see the boot is darker than the rear quarter panels... Take it up with Toyota themselves and I'm sure you'll get it fixed...
  18. If the car comes standard with Double DIN then go for that... If the car comes standard with Single DIN then go for that... Always looks better IMO... I've got a single DIN in the 1999 Corolla and a double DIN in the Stivo...
  19. One of my customers at work has a MR2 Spyder and has done the turbo conversion and regularly races at Wakefield... Pretty tight to get everything in there and has had a few issues but it all seems to be working well now...
  20. Pretty much stick to the guidelines with your filter changes, they know best :) And for Panel Filters, grab yourself a K&N Panel Filter...
  21. Take your time and look around man... There are heaps out there that've been thrashed... You should be looking for one under 200,000kms, not blowing smoke or using engine oil at all, check the panels for straight and even gaps, check all around the roof gutters, rear quarters, front and rear screens for rusting and a general look over...
