  1. Honestly you'd be an idiot to go back to the same place and demand they do the work for you... Do you really think after whats happened they'd treat you nicely or be happy to do a good job for you??? Reverse the situation, would you be happy to serve a customer thats said all that to you??? Much better off heading to another dealer and see if they're able to help you out with your problems... And in saying that, another dealer means a different group of mechanics with different thoughts, might just be what you need for your problems to get sorted... And the dealer has every right to hold your keys if you refuse to pay, I'd do exactly the same if it was my business...
  2. I've got a pair of rear 1/4 windows if you're interested in those at all???
  3. Bit late now haha, still need any mounts??? I got LH and RH - both brand new and front and rear used but still ok...
  4. 14 or 15 inch??? Tried ebay???
  5. Sounds like the timing is off to me... Your idle should be 800rpm... 600rpm is too low and will be causing loss of power supply to your electrics...
  6. You'll need to get an EFI fuel tank with lines to the engine bay, good idea to clean these out before installing them... Also, new fuel filter and the bracket to hold it against the firewall... Fitting the engine won't be a hassle as it will all line up... You'll need to get the wiring sorted out and connected to the body looms, for this I would recommend Sideshow...
  7. In regards to the knocking noise I'd be checking the rear swaybar bushes, make sure the swaybar is in there tight and not moving... Also, you'll prolly find the strut hats and bearings are worn which would also cause the knock over bumpy roads and speedbumps... These will also need to be replaced... And also just to add, Repco offer quick strut replacements, which come as a complete unit (strut, spring, bearing, hat, bump stop and dust boot) for a great price... See if they are available for your model, will make the job a lot easier and most likely cheaper than buying all the parts individually and paying labour for someone to fit them up...
  8. Easy way to check is to lift the car up and spin the wheels with your hand... With your other hand on the coil spring, if the bearing is worn you will feel a vibration on that spring when spinning the wheel... Do that to all 4 and see which one you find has the problem... Quite possible to come from the left hand side if that has been damaged previously... Also, just a reply to the post above... These bearings can't be repacked and refitted, they're a sealed bearing that are pressed into the hub with a hydraulic press...
  9. Just some quick snaps of the Opera House:
  10. I had an 02 Prado, very well built and no problems at all... Was keen to trade it for a 100 series V8 Sahara but plans changed... Sold the Prado and the Cruiser is still on the cards, just some time down the track :)
  11. Ring around some plastic repairers, can probably get the marks fixed with the dash in place...

  14. You'll have to pull everything else off first thats around it and then slide it off... Why do you want to remove it???
  15. Turn your radio up :) The door open buzzer annoys the hell out of me when I'm working under the dash or whatever so I just leave the ig turned on...
  16. What oil are you buying??? Different brands and oil grades have different prices...
  17. Just to reply to DJKOR, always a good idea to cover your intake with a rag or something so no loose objects can fall inside the tubes... Thats the last thing you wanna do...
  18. Hahahahaha, thats a fkn classic lol...
  19. Tom - 0416 135 314 He's got a shop at Hornsby... Does an awesome job and has done all of my cars without any issues... Great prices too... Tell him Ben from Chatswood Toyota passed on the number and he'll look after you :)
  20. Toyota have a trade special on this engine at the moment... Complete motor for $2500... If you know anyone in the trade, kidnap them and their trade card and head to your local dealer :) Also, where was your car serviced, I'd be hitting them up for damages, if they serviced it and failed to note the leaking water pump then your stuffed motor has them to blame...
  21. We're back! On January 31, 2010, Rosehill Gardens is set to rumble with the sights and sounds of Australia's most spectacular exhibition of automotive culture. Showcar Sunday is back for its second year! Last year's inaugural show played host to superstars like Anthony "The Man" Mundine, music artists DJ Jam (Snoop Doggy Dogg's DJ - direct from America), celebrity choreographer, Nacho Pop and Rhiannon (from Channel 10's hit show So You Think You Can Dance), and Darren Mcmullen from MTV. If you thought this line up was huge, then you can't miss the next instalment of Showcar Sunday. It's going to be off the charts! Bigger Than Ever After the success of last year's show, Showcar Sunday has moved to Rosehill Gardens. The bigger venue was necessary to accommodate the anticipate increase in crowds and the surge of entries we've experienced. Showcar Sunday showcases the angled classic lines of supercharged muscle, the elegant flowing lines of high performance imports and the intricate engineering of custom choppers. The level of craftsmanship is set to be outstanding. Australia builds some of the best cars in the world, and the best Sydney has to offer is going to be on display on January 31, 2010. 22. Not sure if it's been stated but for anyone else doing this, after removing your airbag horn pad, place it in the passenger footwell with the front facing upwards... That way incase it triggers it'll blow the bag outwards instead of forcing the whole assy to be sent upwards at an incredible force... In regards to the steering wheel removal, undo the centre nut a few turns and wriggle the steering wheel till it comes loose, then remove the nut and steering wheel... Doing this will save you a trip to the dentist... Finally, make sure your wheels are straight before removing the spiral cable and make sure it doesn't turn when removed and is refitted in exactly the same position as when removed... Fail to do this will result in a snapped cable and a $500 bill from Toyota...
