  1. I've got a blue gel called Bumper Care at work, works brilliantly...
  2. Also try Tempe Tyres as they have second hand rims...
  3. Also make sure the windows are wet before using the blade...
  4. I run Pioneer DVD units in my cars, never had any problems at all...
  5. Should be 4 brake globes from memory, is there a centre one in the rear screen too??? Easiest way to tell is to remove one of the tail lights and check the wiring, 2 wires would mean a single element globe, 3 wires would mean a double...
  6. The reverse sensors aren't an assurance against hitting objects, they're only a guide... But if you're reversing against a flat wall, you will never have any problems if the sensors are working correctly... A 4cm gap from the wall at a constant beep is ok to me, unless you're reversing at speed you won't have any problems...
  7. We've needed to use one while 4wding the wattagans, wiring loom came loose and landed on the exhaust manifold, smoke ****** out everywhere, popped the bonnet, grabbed the extinguisher and puff, stupid thing was dead... Ripped open the esky, shook up some cans of coke and sprayed away... Who needs extinguishers when you've got some coke :)
  8. New WILD Energy CD's, not too bad, bringin back the old school :)
  9. Try tighening all the bolts on the doors, I had the same kind of rattle, ended up being loose bolts for the door lock assy...
  10. Doesn't look like a cheap chinese or retreaded tyre, just looks aged, can tell by the cracks in the tread surface...
  11. The proper way to adjust the handbrake is to back off the two 10mm nuts all the way to the end of the cable first... Remove the lock nut and unwind the other one to the end of the cable but so it still stays on... Remove the rear wheels and lock up the handbrake shoes... Then back them off about 4 clicks till the discs move freely... Put the wheels back on and put the car back on the ground... Then adjust up the cable as necessary... They don't hold as well as other cars but they do hold when adjusted correctly...
  12. I had the Sportivo wheels on one of my old SX Seca's and never had any troubles with running at all...
  13. My cars scrub out a fair bit, never really worried me... Rolled and flared the guards as much as possible, lowered it so the wheels stick up the guards and just cruise along :)
  14. Current Wheels on the cars: And now with Orange Walls:
  15. Sportivo: 80K service, machined front discs, replaced front pads and fitted A/C filter... Gotta fit the rego sticker onto the orange car, been meaning to do that since June lol... Also gotta service the SX, gotta love being on holidays, finally get time to get it all done...
  16. Thats normal for the sensors... I install genuine sensors to the new RAV's and find at a constant beep I've got a few inches between the wall and the spare wheel carrier...
  17. Try adjusting the handbrake??? I work for Toyota and admittidly they are a poor design but after I've adjusted them they hold fine on our carpark ramps while still in neutral...
  18. Get a hammer and tap it up and down and side to side... Should loosen it up a bit :)
  19. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Van http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Previa That should help you out with some info :)
  20. I'm running 19's on mine and had no troubles going through a defect station... Guess it's who you know at the end of the day :)
  21. Drain the oil, remove the driveshaft, remove the old seal... Clean up the housing and using a flat object (such as a 1/2 " Extension) hammer in the new seal till it sits flush in the housing... Make sure to only apply pressure to the outside of the seal, hitting the inner edge will stuff the seal... Once thats in, refit the driveshaft, fill up with new oil and you're good to go :)
  22. Ultra Tune, Midas and a few others seem to charge more than Toyota for things like this, it's a wonder sometimes lol... If you're going to replace them I would recommend KYB gas shocks...
  23. Go to Toyota and buy a new Sump Plug, then head to Repco and get a decent 14mm spanner so it won't happen again... After you've done that, get some vice grips and remove the old sump plug and throw it away...
  24. The only bonus about leaving tyres out in the sun for a year is the extra smoke they produce hahaha...
