  1. BP Ultimate, period. Thats the only fuel you really should use. Well, that seems to be the only 98 RON fuel here in W.A, i dont think our shell dispenses optimax here.. Regular unleaded is 91 RON, at least in w.a it is.. GZE_Bandit: You can actually feel a (significant) drop in power using less than 98 RON fuel.. at least i felt the difference in mine. You dont pay THAT much more for 98 RON over 95.. so why use a lower grade?
  2. how much are those pedals? they're the alloy ones right? is it a straight forward installation?
  3. thats a load of horse **** i reckon hey.. if the car couldnt/wasnt able to handle that kinda high rev shifting, toyota WOULD HAVE made the fuel cut lower.. why is the fuel cut at 8200 and not 9k? because the transmission (engine + gearbox) can handle UP TO 8.2k.. i would complain about their service if i were you.. i dont feed you (sales rep) and your family only for you to come and give me attitude. When I pay 30k for a car, i friggin expect some standard of service!
  4. mate.. that list is all over the net.. guess you havent seen it
  5. Going at speeds in excess of 220km/h i seriously doubt you'd even feel the lift pulling.. you can hear it, but you wont feel it..
  6. I get that same rattle at high rpm (4-6k) in low gears.. and the same metal scraping squeel when i engage reverse and ride the clutch.. VERY ANNOYING
  7. That purple tank NOS kit is made by ZEX, and YES NOS is an actual make.. theres also nitrous express (NX), and a couple of others.. http://xspeed.dreamhost.com/catalog/produc...products_id=282 xspeed seems to carry and install these systems but like Skitzo said, it might be illegal to have such.. but if you still want to go ahead, give em a call and see what the say
  8. well.. if you dont mind refilling the nos tank ever so often then nos might be for you.. but if you want a permernant power gain then id advice you not too.. besides, nos is only good if you want that bit more power when you're dragging.. there are other mods you could do for $1300, xorst, unichip, headers..
  9. Do those octane boosters really help?
  10. Do you have any other mods on your car or just the unichip so far? I got quoted $1250 by a w.a performance workshop that carried them.. Chip + tune for $1250..
  11. my gawd.. wa is doing preeetty badly huh. its either there arent many sportivo owners around which i doubt or these people never heard of forums ;) OR they really dont know they're driving DA BOMB :P
  12. i wanted to do it by the book so i didnt want to push it too hard till its clocked its 2k.. i just wanted to feel what it was like giving it a lil gas in 2nd at that point.. so, i didnt keep it up so to speak :D
  13. You mean.. RIDE it hard.. :P well.. i waited till like 500ish before taking it up past 6 for a bit but never actually held it there for long... you know.. a bit of problems keeping it up :o
  14. no.. the paint work wasnt stained (after i washed it off) but the windows had those patches like that when they're stained with the eeky dark brown water stains, they are however clear and can only been seen under sunlight and close inspection.
  15. I was parked beside this construction site today and they were hosing the ground with bore water and during the period i was parked there (a good 5 hours or so) some of that eeky water got splashed onto my stivo.. so when i got back, the left hand side of the car was fully covered in the residue of that 'dirty water'... Getting straight to the point, i got back and immediately washed that crap of my baby and proceeded to clean the windows after the wash. And to my utter horror, the stains were still there clearly visable under the sunlight and it wouldnt go away! I thought it would only be visible outside of the car and proceeded to take the stivo for a spin round the block just to see if the stains were visible in the car under the sun, and YES THEY WERE!! So.. i was just thinking, is there a protective coating on the windows that got eaten away or are the stains just tough stains and would go away after a few washes? I fully tried stratching at the windows with my nails but it didnt seem there was a protective coating or the stains were going away :( HELP... i am very verrry anal about the cleaniness of my windows and i just couldnt live with it being like that :P
  16. im pretty sure the stivo can do an under 8 if all conditions were right.. e.g straight road, no stuff ups in shifting, lift all the way, 1/2 tank of petrol, driver 75kg or under :D and a nice take off
  17. Dammn.. I just checked out unichip's site and they dont seem to have dealers in W.A :(
  18. soo.. tell me more about this unichip.. do you get it locally or off ebay and somone will tune it up for you?
  19. hey Danthuyer.. how much did you pay for the sports grill? did you get it from your dealer? i guess its a pretty straight foward self install kinda thing right..
  20. ive been looking around for a good cai that would fit on the sportivo and AEM seems to make the best ones on the market but im not sure if they have specific ones for the sportivo as aem is a US make :P Could anyone tell me the model to ask for and a good price to pay for it? im also interested in chipping the car.. what are the recommended chips and prices to look out for? do you send your car in to have it tuned up by a performance mech?
