Unlike Andrew, who has money coming out of his ...lol
What I'm saying is Andrew paid quite a bit for his system. Do a backyard job of it, and just remove the resonator... or you can take it to an exhaust shop and it'll cost you like $50 max.
Or you can so it the proper way haha

Just letting you know, I have managed to track a brand new full kit for myself. So they are still out there, be patient and persistant and you'll get what you seek
Can't wait for mine to come!!!

Hello fellow Toyota peoples. As im sure you can tell by the title, this post has something to do with a GTP kit for a Gen4 camry and something to do with me being extremely excited. Yep you guessed it, i have managed to track one down (with the help of Trent). The kit is Brand New, in original box. Never been put on, never been painted.
Im so excited, hopefully it will arrive sometime next week, and j will be sure to take some photos and keep everyone updated.
This proves that patience is a virtue

It should be pretty obvious to drivers....and as they say in this report, only 1 in sydney. You've got more of a chance of being caught by a cop with a radar

@Sim's Kebab, Ashfield:
<INSERT APPROPRIATE CAPTION HERE>
not my best angle i have to admit, in saying that, daryl was boosting all day haha

Jesus
If i can get the money together that thing is MINE
side not, next time something this rare pops up, pm it to me lol haha kidding

I can give advice but i wouldnt say im the best to ask for the V6, but i do have a bit of knowledge on it, fuel upgrades required etc. Anthony knows a fair bit, as does Andrew, Dave and Adam from the states, ask Andrew for his details.
As far as it goes, best bang for your buck and most support is available for the TRD charger. I don't know if you went for a ride with Anthony, but that thing is literally mental.
I had a ride in Andrews car....i liked it alot haha, what is like the max output of a TRD charger?
With supporting mods, like headers, fuel upgrade, ECU etc etc
-
hey mate so far i have spent over 6 grand on just parts and still need afew items but im not using a trd charger im using a vortech charger which costs more
sean
you got any pics for us? that sounds like an interesting build up you got there...can you give us a few more details?

HAHA thanks man, guess im back to square one. Been looking at some gen 5.5, and i have to say i like the rear/interior of the 5.5, but i love the front end of the 5.
I should combine the two and make a gen 5.25
-
All i can say is goodluck...no offence intended
Nah but seriously, its not worth the cost involved of buy the kit in individual pieces as i found out..
Best bet would be to seel yours and buy a camry GTP (or T-cam) I know of 2 that are for sale, only thing stopping me is they are auto and I'm after a manual.
Another option is to get one from these guys www.ssv.com.au its not the same but its pretty similar

So after seeing/hearing a few superchargers at the Annual Meet its just made me want to supercharge even more. Looking at the cost of a TRD supercharger I thought that I would explore other avenues, just to see whats out there. Been looking at Trents Camry and was just wondering if this sort of set up could be done to a 1MZ, if so:
- Approx cost involved (trent your probably the best to advise on this)
- Estimated power out put, will it be up with the TRD charged or BEYOND!
I am completely open to all your idesa and thoughts, this is just the idea/research stage of my project as i have to source the money and get off my P-plates to be 'legally' alloud to drive it.

Bringing up an old thread, i got my rotors machined for $50
You should only have your rotors machined once yea? after that would one be advised to get new ones?
-
like sean said you dont need projectors, BUT you will be blinding other drivers, and most likely get alot of people flashing their high beams at you...
my advice, dont worry about HID's, go get yourself a pair of Narva Artic Blue... You'll be happy with the results (and the price)
-
Price will depend on alot of things, there isn't just ONE top of the range unit...
Give us a few details so we can help you out:
- Brand
- Single/DOuble DIN
- Do you want Navigation
- Do you want ipod intergration
Sooo many things come into play, my advice would be to look at a few websites of a couple of your favourite brands and then post a few model numbers on here so we can give you feedback on which one would best suit you..
You will also have to consider the install, if you cant do it yourself!
-
its a bit of a b***h to do, i've done it before on mine.
im guessing you know how to remove the trim around the radio etc... then once thats off there are 4 screws from memory in each of the corners of the aircon unit... you need to detach the face there are heaps of annoying clips around the box that need to be undone so that you can remove the face piece, once thats off 'from memory' it might just come out, if not its not that hard, then you'll see the little light that needs to be replaced..
hope that makes sense, im sleep deprived at the moment

Hey ladies and gents!
Sorry I couldn't make the rest of the weekend and have a nice drive with you all.
Sucky, but I guess with a big cruise there would be some hickups. Hope those wounds will heal over time.
Thanks for everyone who organised everything, it was great to meet the new faces and yes, it was my first meet so that was a plus.
"must not get a supercharger, must not get a supercharger, must not get a supercharger, must not get a supercharger.........."
http://www.solaraguy...hp?f=23&t=47291 - Oops, what is this?
Nice to finally meet you Mick. Will PM you with a few questions regarding that Gen 5.5 of yours as well...
such a teaser!
-
Who was behind me in the White Camry on the way through the twisties?
That would be me I didnt do anything wrong did I? haha
Oh and VF-X dont worry about it dude, over taking you made for a more interesting drive...and we caught other traffic aswell so it didnt really matter
-
i Literally fell in love with yours and anthony's cars.
Just makes me want to do all this stuff soo much more. Im thinking at the moment that i either find a nice gen 4 GTP (manual) or a gen 5/5.5 manual then supercharge etc etc.
its not worth it to do it on my current car, too many K's etc
Hope you guys have a safe trip back up

Here are my pics from the show and shine, and the famous 'Kebab Scraper' hope you all enjoy. I appologise if my pics are a bit aurion/camry bias but hey, they are the best thing toyota made

I feel your guys pain. I think that at the end of the day it was down to poor communication, some people had radios some didnt, it wasnt that the interstate people werent in the middle of the pack, because they were...it was down to us at the back trying to find our way with no leaders. And of course once one person takes the wrong turn everyone followed. Luckily for a few of us we saw that we took the wrong turn and pulled over and thanks to Kenneth for having a GPS.
We can sit here for weeks on end pushing the blame onto different people, instead of looking at what went wrong i think we should be thankfull for the ammount of effort put in by the moderators and remember the good times rather than the bad.
Like pulling kenneth from the ditch, or listening to Tash abuse the hell out of the undercover cop :P
