chasing a pair of front brake calipers from these models: LN61, YN63, YN67 I want the 4 piston calieprs that suit 20mm thick vented discs (not the solid discs). The correct calipers have 2 different sized pistons in them. this is obvious if the pads are removed. the later model ones for vented rotors, have 4 pistons of the same size. i expect to rebuild them .CASH waiting, reply here or pm me. many thanks, terry

does anyone know of a source for the really slim, door window edge (rain) visors that fit the 122/123 hatchback models. I have looked a few and they are all really wide, or only suit the sedan models (rear door shape is different) . i've tried to get the JDM Toyota accessory ones but i cant find the correct part number. any help appreicated

they are all identical internally. corolla has different intake manifold, knock sensor, alternator wiring, heater pipes etc etc. we have a wrecked sportivo arriving next week at my work. PM me if you are still chasing

the whirring noise is the syncros trying to slow down the spinning gear. definitely working overtime. the crunch on change is typical sign of worn syncro rings, or its been filled with wrong oil like royal purple friciton modifier, preventing the syncro rings working as intended these gearboxes are starting to fail regulalrly and need very early rebuilds, especially from lunatics tyring to bash them thru gears at absurdly high revs. Have seen a few with damaged bearings at less than 100,000km. This is unusual for Toyota boxes, but the 2ZZ is the msot powerful engine that ever was ahead of a C code box

try www.roadandtrack.net.au where I work we had a 'sick" 112 factory turbo at work the other day. owner thinking of wrecking it out as they cant afford to fix dead engine. it has all the right bits but needs a lot of love. wont be able to follow-up on that till after Xmas holidays however I checked about 3 months ago, and there was not one Sportivo part still listed for the 112R. Work regularly imports pedal kits from Toyota Japan the for ZZE models, but I'd have to check if they fit the 112. I think the footrest is different. I'm chasing any parts of the "sportivo" body kit (option extras) for the 2000-06 celica ZZT. I know the side skirts are still available ex TMCA, but nothing else. can you check you dealership for any stock??. thanks

there are 2 totally diffrent systems in that year and you have to work out what you have firstly, there could be a dealer fit alarm/immobilzer. This is relatively easy to bypass/fix as it has nothning to do with the physical key. I can help with data on this system next is the smart key system. if you lose all the keys, you are stuffed as you cant get the transponder unit wrapped around the igniton lock barell, to talk to the ECU and allow the car to start. to fix this requires a new smart key to be coded into the ECU. According to Toyota this is not posbbile, and you have to buy a new ECU & jey combination, but i have had 1 such unit fixed by a very clever locksmith . Expect anything up to $1000 to solve this in either case, the Toyota key number is stamped on the inside of the drivers side door lock. you have to take it out of the door to read the 4 digit key. any good locksmith can cut a key with that code
