  1. At the time, i would have gone DBA but I couldn't justify the cost of 5000 series rotors
  2. Might come in the Camry if Tara is coming, given she has come here from AusCam
  3. Yeeeow! That looks somewhat uncomfortable.
  4. Clutch smell remains even when cold so I don't want to drive it. Besides, devo'ed over last night so is rather not drive her anyway
  5. Unless the MCM boys are coming tomorrow, I'll be there tomorrow in the Lexus.
  6. Is silently raging over tonight's drag times.

Assume clutch was an issue on the 15-second run, I would have expected 13s, at least 14s...

13s are actually very hard in the camry without a LSD. I was wheels spinning down the strip even in 2nd gear.

Which is clearly why I am silently raging. The 'best' run was after the clutch incident so I was launching very timidly. Going to get a HD clutch and maybe follow Anthony's lead and get an LSD and get them installed at the same time.

  7. I'm going to take off my windscreen wipers so make sure you don't get any parking tickets.

The sneaky bastards have a way around it. The have a little strip of adhesive.

  8. July 24, Sunday. Mt Nebo and Mt Cootha with lunch/afternoon tea to follow.
  9. I'm torn on roots. It makes alot of noise and show but isn't as efficient as other ones.
  10. Hang on, I forgot the results chart wasn't in the right order. But Uncle Brenn is very good at Go-Karting... until Anthony makes him run into a stack of tyres. I've got it! Something McGee I suspect DJKOR had something to do with that
  11. You are DJKOR+1 and I am now 'Goddess'... Now I've been put on the spot I can't think of a title. Kirius: Best time was Mid 32s. I was cheating though; using Uncle Brenn's line
  12. Custom titles available on request. That's good to know. I'm going to have to get back to you on that one. edit: Emperor, King, Godlike, Sultan... so many adjectives to use :P
  13. Just double check on AusCam. Stu and Daryl are practically members of AusCam and know Whip.Cracker and a few of the other guys. We don't want to stack too many on the cruise.
  14. I'd be fine with either. But don't pick me for the Enduro; we'd just lose. Team name 'TOCAU Soft Cogs'
  15. I'll have the LSD. You can have the coke and weed.
  16. More products added: RainX Original Glass Treatment liquid - Works well enough but annoying to apply. RainX original delivers what it promises but I had a fair bit of trouble applying this stuff without it streaking/hazing. Once applied though, it lasted a fair while however. RainX Wiper Fluid Additive - A great alternative to RainX Original. In my opinion this stuff is far better than RainX Original due to how it is 'applied'. Just add the required amount to your windscreen reservoir and you're set. Has the same effects as RainX Original without the fuss. ArmorAll Windscreen Wash - Squirt, dilute and use; you'll probably lose the bottle before you finish it. Easy to use, this windscreen wash does an adequate job of cleaning your windscreen. Says not to mix with anything but works with RainX Wiper Fluid with no problem. Given how long it takes to deplete your windscreen washer reservoir; it's likely you'll lose this stuff (or forget you have stuff remaining). RainX Anti-fog liquid - When driving in conditions that cause foggy windscreens; ensure your demister is working Promises the reduction of fogging of your windscreen but I saw little evidence of it. In addition to it not working, I found it difficult to apply as it streaked/hazed alot. Turtle Wax Hard Shell Wax - ... Go elsewhere. This stuff is awful. It's easy to apply (as it's like water) and easy to remove but that's the only 2 good things about it. It leaves no waxy feel, no water beading qualities and the 'wax' comes off in flakes which is annoying and gets everywhere. Complete junk. Tried these just yesterday: AutoGlym Glass Polish - Refresh your tired glass surfaces with AutoGlym. Easy to apply and remove, this product is much like a light polish for your glass. It removes surface contaminants on the glass leaving a clear, refreshed look. AutoGlym Fast Glass - The perfect complement to AutoGlym Glass Polish. For glass surfaces you can't use Glass Polish on, use Fast Glass (tinted windows etc). Spray and wipe, no streaks and incredible cleaning ability. Combined with Glass Polish, your windows will love you. Mothers Step3 Pure Carnauba Liquid Wax - A worthy competitor to M26 Liquid wax and actually available in Australia as well! This is a great wax. It's easy to apply and remove and leaves a great just waxed feel with a great glossy finish. I can't comment on it's water beading properties + longevity yet, but if it is anything like M26 it will be a winner. It will be interesting to see how good the paste version of this will be as it is priced significantly higher than Meguiars M26 paste wax.
  17. - Calipers: Unsure if they'll bolt directly onto a corolla mount or not. Calipers will be ~$430including GST each; if you need brackets to get them to fit you need to factor in the cost of 'designing' a bracket + production of a set. - With the rotors Genuine TRD fronts are from memory, $300each and the rotors will need to be re-drilled to 5x100 - $55 per rotor RDA rotors which will fit with a relocating ring start from $170ea. - From memory, your centre holes are 55mm? If so, you need a rotor-relocating ring made up 62-55mm (Anywhere from $30-60 for a pair) - New brake lines. I had custom ones made up (with fittings to suit the caliper) for $60 a line; cheaper than Toyota Genuine. - Brake fluid ~ $10 for 500ml. Minimum cost will be: Calipers: $860 Rotors: $340-600 Redrilling: $110 Hub ring: $30-60 Brake Lines: $120 Brake Fluid: $10 Anywhere from $1470 - $1760. This won't include caliper mounting brackets if you need them nor installation or certification costs (you will need to get a modplate or similar). Furthermore, I can't comment if you'll screw up your brake bias/how your car brakes safely or not. As for whether it's worth it or not? Only you can decide that.
  18. Auscam and TOCAU are so intertwined, it's almost a TOCAU cruise.
  19. its for camrys, xD Doesn't matter Jeff, it won't be a problem. Long story short Stu: - Start at Caltex Samford Valley - Reverse Nebo - Meetup @ park below Mt. Cootha and allow photogs to head up first to get spots - Meetup @ Mt Cootha lookout. - Lunch/afternoon Tea/Dinner It's a smallish cruise which is probably best for most of us.
