  1. Fail cruise is fail. Fail chick leading who mislead us 3 times is fail. Locked park and BBQ on the far side of the world is fail. Pulling into a park crossing heavy traffic for no reason is fail. Not turning up the road to Mount Tamborine even when it's clearly signed is fail. Everything was fail until we were TOCAU separated.
  2. No, the sons of bitches. Worst day of my life, hands down. /emo
  3. Dearest Ray Please strike the navigator and the BBQ-location-knower frimly in the head for me. Kindest regards Andrew357 Go go gadget sundae!

  5. Just thought I'd put today's work in this thread as well. Haven't really babied the car since the annual meet and having the weekend off I decided to strip the wax and start afresh. I washed her in a solution of Morning Fresh then a regular car wash liquid (polyglaze wash and wax). The car failed the squeak test on all sections I tested on the car, so I am assuming the Morning Fresh did the trick. I then clayed any trouble spots (most on the roof) using my Mothers California Gold clay kit. I was too chicken to use any SwirlX so I skipped it, but most of the car was ok in that aspect. I used the Mothers Step 2: Sealer + Glaze which was much like applying a liquid wax in terms of application and removal. I was dubious about the claims (and reviews on the internet) but as soon as I buffed off the residue I could see a big difference already. The lustre and depth of the paintwork was so much more apparent now. I waited 30minutes then applied my usual Meguiars Gold Class Wax. The finished product: I'm very happy with the difference the Step 2 made as the entire car looks that much better. The biggest improvements over just normal waxing on the car was easily the rear 1/4 panels + doors and the bootlid. I'd definitely recommend the Step 2 Sealant from Mothers.
  6. Washed, clayed, sealed/glazed + waxed the car today. Biggest improvements can be seen on the bootlid, doors + rear 1/4 panels. Bonnet + front looks much the same, but this may be due to the recent repaint.
  7. Welcome to the forums. Any mods planned for this one?
  8. Good enough for me. I haven't done Tambourine before so I'll stay at the rear.
  9. I am thoroughly confused. I get where we start (via Rowans post) but where are we headed and what is the final destination?
  10. I'm not a violent person. I am a sick person though, so I'll just cough on you! Still sick? At least it's warm now.
  11. Every Thursday @ the Centenary Pool car park in Spring Hill, Gregory Terrace. We meet around 8pm every thursday. Here is a link to the meet page: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=27430
  12. I haven't been in Asians either. I wouldn't complain but they aren't my first choice, I prefer Caucasians myself.
  13. Whereabouts in brisbane? You should rock up to one of our weekly meets
  14. Bah, my 1mz-fe can smoke you all. Cause it's the best, blah blah boostcrusing blah blah holden-driver mentality blah ignorance blah blah thinly disguised self importance blah. /story.
  15. Will bring along my Ipod Video. Someone may want to bring along the vanilla version just in case.
  16. somehow I managed to get the weekend off. I'll be there.
  17. my ryco filter had that plastic thing on it aswell But the ryco ones don't come oiled. I have bought a few of them and all come plastic covered, but unoiled. Maybe to protect the seal? Which is one up on Ryco if they do, because the K&N ones come unoiled and un-plasticed.
  18. So it would be safe to say you can't wait for those K&N ones? The real question is, how tight did you do up this one?
  19. but tight to the point where you bend the fark out of the filter to remove it is simply not cool. My shoulder still hurts.
  20. Those ones really really really annoy me as well. The only ones that are worse than that are those that start to pick up speed when the overtaking lane is approaching so that once you get to it, they are going on or even above the speed limit. When you've got a power advantage though, this doesn't really matter too much in the end, but it's getting more risky as I've seen a fair few cops starting to hide at the end of an overtaking section of road ready to catch those who spped up a bit to overtake such example mentioned above. After that Sydney trip I don't ever want to see another Winnebago again. Rant: idiot Lancer Vrx who tried to drag me in Friday afternoon traffic along Ann St in the valley. Stupid scrag, well done on almost wiping out the car in front of you.
  21. I can't believe I strained my shoulder. Thank god my brother is a physio. You guessed it I get all my physio.... 10% of all my sessions with him <_<
  22. For reference, my Alternator died around the 98,000km mark (May 2009) and I took it to an UltraTune who were unable to fit an alternative alternator onto it. They had to source the same model alternator which cost me $560 including GST to have it fitted.
  23. Bit of a rage/question thread regarding the simple, age old question: If you do your own oil changes, how tight do you do up your oil filter? I did an oil change yesterday on a friend's car and the filter was on so tight that I strained my right shoulder and bent the absolute Shiite out of the filter getting it off. I've done tight ones in the past (ie - mine before I do my own changes and my dads) but this one was ridiculous. I have always tightened by hand with reasonable force, but still tight enough that you can undo the filter by hand. Am I doing it wrong?
  24. I'll make some sort of appearance this evening. Mick I have those calipers for you as well
