he xoom can u answer my question plz about the lsd installation quote im putting in whatever's in my stock 5 speed, i think its just a stock toyota helical type, also for parts, i meant as in clips,washes, shims, bearings etc, or anything needed for a clean install. also is the 6th gear expensive, have u got are pic of it while its broken, still thinking if should do the install myself, looks harder than it is. cheers quote thanks mate

well its been almost 2 months since saying the 2zz is slow, well ive driven it bout 5-6 ties since then,(will be driven more until i get my licence back), anyway i mastered the gearchanging, cause before i used to miss 2nd and third alot and i havent driven the turbo one, so this time it wont feel slow so if u drive a 2zz equiped car, it will feel slow, i takes time to get used to, in my case the 5 speed didn't help,so ive just bought a 6 speed, but im still debating if i should go lighter flywheel, only because they say you rev faster but also the revs drop faster, but only time will tell and will see how it goes, so is the 2zz slow, well ive made my decision, now u decide cheers :D

ah nice,bout time anyway quick question when installing the lsd, did they break the 6th gear, also what parts did they replace when installing the lsd,ill be doing this the lsd install in the 6 speed i just picked up,so hopefully wont be that hard,thanks cheers

in that case dont bother, it wil cost u too much, unless you're good in electronics then maybe........ the mr2 box is a smt not tip tronic, the shifts are too slow and kind of boring... cheers

hi guys just picked up a set of cusco zero 2 coilover but one of the fronts is bent slighty. so anyone know were i can get it rebuilt? also can i puchase a replacement for it, if yes anyone know where cheers

mm i think the smt ratio's are different mines the original 5 speed from the mr2 cheers

mintos im using the celica ecu the mr2 6 speed only came in the later model spyders(03+) and were only avaiable in europe my current box is the standard 5 speed (jdm spec) the standard mr2 spyders currently run mid to low 15's(manual version) i think they have different ratio's comparing to the aus spec corolla 5 speed. so what speed does the corolla top out in 3rd gear? so here's what ill be doing, running the 1/4 with the 5 speed for the later put the 6 speed, then i can compare them, also guys, what the best way to find out what ratio i currently have? cheers
