  1. When they decrease, its actually slower.
  2. Hello everyone, The times were taken during Corolla Club Poland meet. It was on an air strip, with concrete floor, so imagine the times on proper surface. The times were measured professionaly. No 60 ft, or terminal speed. Just ET & RT. The fastest car was Civic Type R (guest star) with supersprint engine-back. Did 14.33 ET+RT. The second fastest was also Civic: 1.5 custom turbo - ET 14.4. Then corollas. I think the mods improve performance overall - I regularly beat the guy in stock CTS by 1-2 lengths. The guy who did 14,8 has custom exhaust, which takes horses away (dynoed), and has really heavy 17" wheels with 205 tyres. I unfortunately have slipping cluth, so wasnt able to take off properly, and did 15.093 ET
  3. We did some drag races on Saturday, and here are the best ET times: -14.865; 14,945 (CAI, ECU Remap, exhaust which actually hinders performance, fat tyres, heavy wheels) -14.897 (stock) -15,093 (CAI, ECU Remap, stock exhaust, stock wheels, clutch slipping like hell)
  4. Hi, Is there anyone using Whiteline rear swaybar? Any opinion on this? Is it worth the money?
  5. I know that. What I mean is Corolla is 100kg heavier than Celica, so need even more momentum to start moving.
  6. They already ordered a new one for me :). A few of my friends have already had the clutch replaced. All under warranty. The thing is, that no matter how much you abuse your clutch (in normal driving) it should last at least 100k km. Toyota Motor Poland knows it, and replaces clutches and gear cables No Questions Asked. Not long ago TMP was also replacing front and rear rotors. I had mine rears replaced 10 kkm ago, but now something changed and they are not willing to cover my fronts.
  7. Ohh, I live in Poland, so the prices might differ. They cost AUD 140 per rotor + labor (don't know how much).
  8. I covered 45k km so far and had 3 sets of brake pads. Now I have to change front rotors (pay for it :( ). Rear rotors were replaced 10K km ago under warranty. Will now buy EBC Greenstuff pads - hope they last longer than stock (15k km)...
  9. I'm having mine replaced under warranty. Totally worn after just 45k km.
  10. I read some of you have lightened flywheel installed. I'm gonna buy Fidanza for my T-Sport. The question is - it was designed for Celica 2zz-ge which is 100 kg lighter than stivo or CTS. Do you think the 100 kg difference will make it even harder to launch from 1st? Or it is negligible?
  11. you can all filter oils are interchngeable.
  12. Who told you this BS. I've been using TRD CAI for a yer now, we have rainy/snowy winter for 6 months a year and no problem. Even largest puddles are no problem at all. To get hydrolock you'd have to go as deep as the top of wheel arches...
  13. Oh really? Check this out: Stock: http://www.forum.corollaclub.org/album_pic.php?pic_id=54 190hp + 191 Nm K&N Drop-in: http://www.forum.corollaclub.org/album_pic.php?pic_id=53 195hp + 195 Nm At some revs the increase was as much as 7hp!!!! These are my measurements, so I know what I'm talking about. Detailed tables to find at www.corollaownersclub.com/forums Just look for my early posts.
  14. "climbing up the hill hasn't never been more fun " Sure - with lightened flywhell you get more kW at the wheels! shaohaok, what is your setup?
  15. And that's what I think also. :D BTW, What clutch/flywheel setup you're going for? I was thinking about MWR Cro-Molly Forged Flywhell (4,5kg) and ACT XT Street Clutch. Around $850 in the US.
  16. But remember mate we have a vastly different ecu to what you are running. Our cars are 20 kw down from where they should be when we get the replacement bits it will be interesting to see the results then. Also I don't know about the remap I am certainly not going to play with a factory ecu that is still under warranty...no way First: do you think that program can destroy the ECU? Just think about it. Second: the levels are still within Toyota tolerances, so this remap is invisible to Toyota diagnostic tools . I could go for 171 kW program, but then i'd be straining the engine too much, and facing the danger of discovery. BTW: our ecus are the same, just the prog is different.
  17. Yea, but remap is only 200AUD!!!
  18. Just plug in your laptop thru ODBII socket and voila. I have base prog. not tuned yet to my setup. Got 9.7 kW increase at the crank compared to stock with TRD CAI. And TRD CAI compared to stock gave 1KW increase :(
  19. Good peekay, but look what I got: Dont know how to post pics here :( http://www.forum.corollaclub.org/album_pic.php?pic_id=671 And its only TRD CAI + TTC Ecu Remap for 200 AUD :D :D Imagine what I would get with your setup. Also note extermely high temp, and this dyno place is well known for notoriously lower results. On other dynos I'm expected to perform about 210HP at the crank. In case you cannot read the chart: Max power at the wheels: 111,8 kW Max power: 150.7 kW And thats with intake air = 60 C
  20. The output depends on ECU program. In the us it is 120, in Aus its 130 and in my car it is 153. ;) Just mod the ecu and you got it. And in Exige its gonna be 170. You cant say the engine outputs this and that much power. Everything depends on the ECU.
  21. NOBOADY HEARD OF SUSPENSION? In Europe its already out. Apart from slightly different looks you get new suspension which alone is wort waiting for. It's as comfy as before, but in turns feels like CTR. It has shocks with sort of "return springs" built in (they help to expand the shock) plus strut braces with dynamic stiffness control. Look beautiful. Impossible to cheaply install in before face lift due to different shock mounts.
  22. Really dont think Stivos power windows are different than T-sports. The module doesnt have anything to do with power windows logic. It just sends "auto close" signal, just as you pulled the power window switch. It connects to the alarm module. Just visit another electrician, i tell you. I had this module in all my cars, all my friends got them, all my corolla-club friends got them, and no problem, 30 min install in any Toyota Dealership.
  23. There are two types of TRD and a Quaife. Search for Celica GT-S LSD.
  24. Here: http://www.allegro.pl/show_item.php?item=27554242 This is polish ebay. Buy now price is 26 AUD. Closes sequentially up to four windows 6 to 15 secs (can be set) after turning the alarm on.
