Id say Yokohama A or C drive.
The O.E Dunlop SP300E tyres were really good tyres, not sure if they are still good as these are made offshore now.
I was told the Goodyear Assurance are not as good as they were 4-5 years ago.
You can also look into the Bridgestone range.
Going back to your original question, Yokohama is the way to go :)

The RE001 tyres are really good. especially for turning/cornering. The only thing is that RE001 dont last long on the Aurions (from what i have read).

All these problems with Camrys are freaking me out. I might just return to the Mazda family next time...
I wonder how many people bother signing up just to make a thread like "OMG my Camry is the best, it's flawless"??
I was just about to say that......
FYI Everyone else :) OMG my Camry is the best, it's flawless

In the past 2 yrs, I have had more problems with my HID Fog lights then a person would have with their Hyundai Excel.
The problem i have now is that one of my Fog light Frames have Fogged up...
Ive given up for now. :(

It seems the price varies. One of my mates got it done for $300 on 99 model Camry.
If you want it done properly, go to a few smash repairs and get a number of quotes.

If doors are locked from the inside the door will not open if u pull the handle, u will need to unlock first.
With the alarm, one beep means lock, two beeps unlock. Not vice versa.
If u unlock the car u have 30 sec - 1 min to open the door or else it will lock again.
Theres nothing wrong with your Camry, Dont stress :)

Thanks :)

Congrats on the purchase and welcome aboard :)

Welcome aboard :)
I havent had that issue on my Camry as yet, but i have heard that noise on other cars.
I always assummed this was caused due to the discs being rusty.
When you take the car for a service in a few month time, might be a good idea to bring this up :)

Pity there are so many reports of that trouble with the Gen 5 though, it's pretty disappointing :( Am hoping they fixed the problem in the Gen 6!! :)
I know its sad :( luckily mine was under the new car (extended) warranty so it didnt cost me. :)
The quotes i got for the alternators were over $500.
When i got mine changed, the Service advisor said its a common issue with both Gen 5 and Gen 6 Camry. On that note i have not heard anyone complain about the alternator on the Gen 6 Camry.

Cruise Control can be really useful, especially for the long drives like sydney to melbourne.
The good thing about the cruise control exceeding the speed limit when your going down hill is that it will allow you to break and not fall asleep on the wheel.
I have noticed that with the gen 5.5 Camry, when u go down hill, it goes over the limit, but goes back to the normal speed once your on a straight road.
I wouldnt really pay much attention to it.
Keep it mind that even though your using cruise control, you still have to look at the speedomitor and obviously the road.

Just to add a bit more to this, Toyota charge $800 for an Alternator.
Not sure why so much, but yeah. Guess it may vary from dealer to dealer.

You guys should've bought a Gen 4.... 12 years old - 246000km's original alternator!
Man I love my car
Im happy with my Gen 5.5
Gen 4's are nice and are good cars aswell -
Whenever doing wheel allignments (or anything related to tyres, other then rotations), always take the car to a well known Tyre service Centre, Such as
Bridgestone Tyre Centre,
Bobjane,
Beaurepairs,
Jax quickfit,
Goodyear, etc...

Those clear lights look good :)

I usually take mine every 6 months/7500 km for the mid service along with major 15000 km service.
You should be fine with the normal 15000km/12 months service.
Im just a bit picky, that all.

Sounds ok, its got the grunt, you got for a good price.

As someone said earlier, your best option would be paint the calipers rather then putting these on.
Andrew painted his Calipers and they look great... :)
You obviously want the Brembo brand for looks, so different story.......
-
Oh yeah, missed that. Missed half of the sentence aswell.
What you said is absolutely correct so OP should be happy. :) (If Jack Leaver and Wheel Nut Spanner came with the car that is)
-
Easy question :)
Hopefully its there :)
-
I'll try to pop down since i havent been to one so far.

There two new Petrols that i havent heard of in that article.
Premium 100 and E85...
E85 = 85% Ethernol. That would make the car fly :P
Premium 100 would be good if it didnt have ethernol
