  1. was looking 4 "runx" stuff when i came across this. sportivos only i guess... not 1zz :( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-Celica-M...1QQcmdZViewItem
  2. gday simo, where exactly is quangers?
  3. nice one raptor, but arent both pics the same? would be nice to see it installed mate :P anyway, i gotta make it possible to house the crossovers on the pod as well. - YES TAYLES THE TRIANGLES ARE CROSSOVERS :P kinda tired after the time it took to install the 2nd sub for these speakers... it involved removing both front seats to get the wiring across since the amps are sitting beneith the front seats. flaming hot 2day where i am in good old blacktown... would be nice2 go 4 a swim but we got no pool... should have a toca pool party... whos got a pool?????
  4. that sucks i spent all of this morning installing the second amp and bought 2 inline fuses for 9.95 each... now yall say i didnt really need them!? hmph!! well i havent hooked up my RF punches into the 2nd amp yet since i havent completed the pods, but maybe tonight im gonna test em out 2 see how it sounds FINALLY.. but yea, with all the wiring done, the amps are both showing green lights and the sub is working as normal so im guessing the install of the distribution block and the new wiring has been a success.
  5. avalanche kinda crappy with connections but it has survived bout 3+ years in my old landcruiser, mounted on 2x 10" subs, and if you knew me when i was driving that beast youd know i ruff i drove in that mfcuker. then it powered my kicker in my corolla for a few months, b4 i luckily found the kicker amp in parra cash converters for 35% of full retail price just down the street @ jbhifi :P wiring is a b!tch of a hassle, but is solid proof that it can withstand a beating :) u want me 2 get 2 more fuses??? same as the 1 coming from the battery? shoulda just bought the distribution block that also houses the fuses! the plastic inline fuses are like 12.95 each... the distribution block was 15.95. the distribution block with the fuses was like 25-27!?! ugh..... as ugly betty says - "you do the math!" once again screwed outta a few more dollars
  6. yep i bought the 4gauge cable and ran it through the firewall already. was already in full swing of wiring up the amps when my parents wanted to go get surf n turf... so yea i ran outta sunlight and now my 2 front seats are sitting in the garage 2night... NOT A gOOD FEELING. kinda stuff always happens 2 me... anyhoo.. i need some connector bits and peices to connect that 4 guage to the battery coz at the moment i havent got anything to keep the wires in place. i saw the battery clamp thingys that accomodate the 4guage + a couble 8 guages to boot. but yea gotta put at least the drivers door back on b4 i can get to the shops... so yea shopping list is as follows: *remote wire (maybe).. speaker wires will be ok substitute for this, right?? im planning to connect remote wires from both amps together at somewhere in line. if the speaker cables work, i wont need to buy another cable. *fork shaped wire connectors for the 2nd amp.. this 2nd amp cant seem to handle 8 gauge wires without the fork connectors... *connectors for the 4guage cable into the (+) battery.
  7. TODAY AND yesterday - rollaz everywhere!?! only 1 i can really remember was a silver rolla prefacelift yesterday at UWS kingswood campus near U building with black aftermarket lights, front and sideskirts, notsure whether it was sportivo or not. TRD badging on eyelids and i think on grille.
  8. whos car is that??? which bar is that??? why is there no head rest for the centre seat? if i was to get this, my custom sub box would need 2 get redesigned coz this bar cuts right into it!
  9. yea d_ice that pic makes more sense... really isnt much of a big deal to relocate the amp. plus weight distribution is more even.. hold up the amp would still weigh it down more on the left side. but yea anyhow his box wouldnt fall as far down, and would be much easier to build a square box than the irregular shapes on my drawing. wood wont cost that much - why not just go4it! im still in uni and i got a wife n kid already and i still manage 2 find money SOMEWHERE for this sorta crap :P do it! oh yea d_ice - measure twice cut once ay? thats some good advice there! :P
  10. badboyz you must be a real losty if females seem that complicated 2 ya ! hahaha!
  11. YEA Its a single cd, no mp3 HU. im kinda thinking if a cd cant even read, what are the chances of a cd cleaner managing 2 do the job if it wouldnt even read that!? if its gonna be a case of replacing the stocky then... ARGH! dont even want to think about what i need 2 do to fit an aftermarket deck in there...i mean i know what i gotta do already since ive taken out the stereo several times... (instructions found in the forums sumwhere)...but things arent meant to just break down like this! giving me the shiets.
  12. nothing left 2 say but TEAM SILVER FTW! :P
  13. yea im doing post grad at kingswood so we started today. yea ima have to buy a cd cleaner. only last week i decided not to buy mods 4 my car until the end of my course (im in my last simester)... so an aftermarket head unit is gonna be a long way off.
  14. this morning i noticed my cd player acting up on the way to uni. i hit what seemed to be a not so bad bump in the road (a road ive travelled many times over and the cd never skipped). anyway the cd not only skipped, it paused for bout 3-4 seconds before playing again. on my way home, the cd began acting up further, pausing as if there were scratches on the cd, even though i only burnt it late last night?!! i decided to go back a first few songs which i played in the morning that i knew i had no problems with then i left the house, but it continued skipping... became more frequent as the song went on. finally i changed disks with a cd that ive played a million times over in the car, and the cd finally had it. it wouldnt even read the cds and after a long wait the player would spit the cd back out again. does it simply need a clean or is something more serious going on?!?
  15. yea thatll be interesting to see... with my rolla, it seems that the black stickers blend with the tinted windows really well and the mirrors sorta dissapear into it as well. makes the whole upper side of the rolla look like 1 massive black window and i kinda like it as is. if i was to remove the black stickers, then the silver paint will basically split the front and rear windows and would kinda make the car a bit more plain... im just thinking about aesthetics... the stickers were put there for some reason... i dont think ill be doing this 1
  16. is the new owner planning on becoming part of the TOCAU clan? shame to see that car dissapear from here
  17. good luck with it dude :P i tend 2 ask 4 advice in these forums WHILE im doing any modz especially when it comes to stuff like speakers and wiring... kinda like having another set of eyes looking over me just in case things could be better if i did things slightly different... im still in the process of building pods for my new RF punch 6.5 components :) alls going well except havent got enough time to finish it just yet... sundays my only time to do it
  18. im running out of things to pull off my car.. debadged everything except the TOYOTA badge on the rear hatch door! if you do it first as the guinea pig and it works out for ya, ill follow your lead :P edit- actually just went outside 2 take a look at the car... taking a look of the lines that start from the mirrors that continue all the way to the baci actually kinda like the fact the paint was covered over! the car would look slightly odd in my opinion so ima keep my black stickers on.
  19. the coolant bypass... saw the tutorial but didnt understand the reason for doing it. please explain??
  20. haha sorry i had 2 ask bout this... i just spend 2much time looking stuff up n asking questions:P
  21. kinda hard for me 2 read japanese... but theres 2 figures on the c-one website.. either 9500 jap yen with tax its 9975. http://www.c-one.co.jp/C-ONEPARTS/cooling_panel.html check the bottom of the page - HEAT PROTECTOR. SB can ya figure out a way to duplicate this panel? :P
  22. havent seen this mentioned on here b4... in other words "The heat protector holds down the ardor around the engine, sucks the cool air from. It contributes to also the prevention of rise of intake air temperature, pulls out engine potential from sport travelling to the town riding." probebly just another bit of rice from c-one.. but anyone got one? any real benefits or is it just rice?
  23. wish theyd move to blacktown... sucks theyre going further than im willing to drive
  24. hehe i think hes already got himself a ported box... its call his boot
  25. just had an idea - what if he could some how cover the back of the sub so that the parcel tray kinda doubles as a box? theres a lot of area underneith that parcel shelf... and it doesnt matter the shape of the box, just as long as theres enough area inside the box to accomodate the 12" sub... basically itll be a floating sub box? he could keep the sub where it is and improve the sound quality at the same time. just an idea.... just as long as the box can carry X amount of litres to suit his sub then itll be sweet. the right size should be in the subs instructions
