  4. Hi Steve Northfield Macgregor set the unit up for me and I must say I didn't ask. I've read on a few forums that this is not easy or can't be done, but it obviously has for mine and I've see another one with the TRD logo, and Phil from Northfield had told me he does this for each install he does. I'm out of town for a few days, but will ask when I get back. Cheers Michael
  5. Another Aurion out tonight. Should be there around 8ish...

  8. Welcome mate...what colour are you getting?
  9. Same here guys. Won't be out this week, as like Daryl I'm off to see DC make things disappear.
  10. Welcome mate...looks great!!!! What suspension did you get???
  11. I'm with you. Tried emailing many times but no response. Aur3on who arranged the last group buys obviously had success. Any hints??? Also wouldn't mind some eyelids as well...
  12. Northfield Macgregor here in Brisbane did the install. The RRP on the Eclipse AVN726EA is $2K, so $200-$400 for the job may be high, but you will be able to negotiate further by getting the iPod cable and rear view camera installed at the same time, and they can package it up. I did this and got a pretty sweet deal in the end. Obviously the more you get them to do (speakers, amps, etc), the better bargaining power you have. The install would not be difficult if you wanted to do yourself, so it depends on the value to you that having someone else do the job for you is worth.
  13. Pauly I have the mic mounted up in the console so it is plenty long enough to reach. I don't know the total length as I did not install it, but I'd reckon Eclipse would make them to fit all sorts of applications. I've even read about the mic on the same unit being installed up near the mirror in a Tundra in the US and they are a big rig.
  14. Seems like there might be a few of us interested in things like mesh grill, eyelids, etc. I've had zero success getting responses from the mob listed in the FAQ (rstyleing.com) and I've tried on numerous occasions. Does anyone have any sources which work? Obviously there has been a couple of group buys and other purchases looking at the previous posts, but it seems a few of us are not having any luck.
  15. Hi guys...won't be out this week. Too much family stuff on.
  16. It comes with an external microphone with a pretty long lead to allow you to locate it wherever you need. Most places would be up near the rear view mirror, and if your car console has a factory mounting location for a phone microphone, you could mount it in that position...up to you.
  17. Hi there I can't comment on the specifics of the Corolla as I don't have one, but I do have the Eclipse AVN726EA in my Aurion and it is a great unit. I would imagine that it should fit fine in your Corolla, as most Toyotas nowdays have the provision to take their factory satnav (which by the way is not the Auspacks unit --- this is a cheaper aftermarket unit) which is a 2-DIN unit. To answer your questions on functionality :
  18. Hi Mate Nice looking Aurion, and very low slung. What suspension have you got under that? Also as Lee said, what are your wheels and tyres? Cheers
  19. [quote Hey, thanks for the heads up! just wondering where you mounted the tweeter in the rear shelf? The tweeter got mounted on the outside of each speaker but under the parcel shelf. I don't have a pic handy, but if you look at the parcel shelf, you'll see that the parcel shelf is perforated (ie holes going right through) where the 6x9 speaker is. The rest of the holes are blocked off but look like they form a rectangular shape beyond the size of the speaker. We had extra holes drilled out specifically for the tweeters and they sit under this. All very stealth (looks factory) and the sound is able to pass through very well. If this doesn't make sense I'll try to get a photo for you. Going away for a couple of days, so can try after that. Cheers Michael
  20. Hi Dave Great to hear you're having some fun setting up your sound. I've been through a recent exercise and agree that you'll benefit from it. As for your speakers, SC6900s up front are fantastic and really lift the sound stage. However, SP6910s in the rear will not work. I was looking at putting these in and the guys at Northfield Macgregor tried but could not get them to fit properly as they are too deep and the hit the boot springs. They even tried raising them, but then the parcel shelf became a problem. Luckily for me they upgraded me to SC6900 components for the rear as well and they are a good fit. Agree that Dynamat will be a great addition as well, and has worked for me. As for amp, I initially didn't have an amp and went for the Eclipse internal amps (AVN726EA), but only Tuesday this week had an Eclipse EA4200 amp installed under my passenger seat and all 4 speakers connected to that. It has brought better clarity and depth to my sound, not to mention louder music (without being distorted). Hope this helps. Cheers Michael
  21. I had read somewhere a little while ago that even though this information might be available, and even if you made a copy of the DVD and put that data on there in the right format, that the Toyota (Fujitsu Ten) navigation headunits will not use the data. Apparently it is a choice Toyota have made, and I don't think anyone has been able to change this.
  22. Hey Daryl, I find both to be a good setup, particularly the setup at least on the ZR6, whereby the side sensors can detect things off to the side and outside the view of the camera. A classic example is where I park at work next to a big concrete pillar on my left hand side. The sensors can tell me how close to the pillar I am (although visual mirror and distance of mirror from pillar do as well) and just help round it all out. I do find the front sensors useful, but wish toyota included a couple in the centre for the odd occasion. What did everyone do before technology hey? We just guessed. Sometimes got it right, sometimes not. That does get some good looks...
  23. Welcome...enjoy the car and the friendly people on this site.
