  1. The issue about the 215/45/R17 is the scraping (when the other guy who had the holotype-r's said there definately would be scraping it seriously had me worried). I know you said you had scraping when you drove thru the national park, just wondering what offset your rims are? Cos I know the Enkei RP03 come in either 35 or 45 offset (which one is yours btw?), and the ALT267 come with a 38-40 offset (im assuming the 40 is acheived with spacers). Given the default 15" alloy is 15x6 and 45 offset, im thinking a 38-40 offset would scrap, or do i have the offset mixed up? Is higher offset better for corollas or lower offset better?
  2. Just thought ill share this with all the other ppl who are searching for wheels. I came across these when i was looking for something that looked like Enkei RP03's (Yea im being cheap, but theres no way ill fork out $375 per rim for EnKei RP03's, especially when these are for day to day use :P ) http://www.altwheels.com.au/wheel.jsp?whee...=AT-267&size=17 http://www.enkei.co.jp/en/p_detail_rp03.html The rims are $170 each (so $680 for the four), and have a offset of 38-40 and are made in Taiwan. HR Racing also make rims that look these, but they are $245 a rim. http://www.agrtyres.com.au/products_closeu...CING&part_no=16 (I was quoted $1390 for Sime Tires 205/40/R17 + HR125 Rims).
  3. hehe theres your problem... 17 y/o male :P
  4. got a picture of em? Does it look this this one? http://www.yhi.com.au/Advanti.htm http://www.yhi.com.au/Advanti/12_Aztec.jpg #12 -> Aztec (these come in white - as well as silver and gold)
  5. If i decided to just change the tyres on my 15" instead (195/60/R15), would putting on 205/60/R15 scrape?
  6. How do the Toyo Trampio compare to the stock Sportivo Turanza ER30's?
  7. $550 full comprehensive? Is that taking out the higher excess option?
  8. speedo being out isnt a major concern, its more the scraping thats a concern to me. Probably looking @ 205/55/R16 as thats the cheapest out of the three. Would this size scrape at ALL (Im not lowering the car, its running @ Stock Corolla suspension).
  9. Contemplating on buying the 16" stock stivo rims and fitting then on my 03 Corolla Conquest that came with the 15" alloy 195/60/R15. Just want to know is there anything i should be aware of? eg guard scraping, etc. Also can i fit 225/50/R16 or 205/55/R16 on them without any scraping or would i just be better sticking with the 195/55/R16? (I got them tyre sizes from the bridgestone site when i entered Toyota Corolla Sportivo).
  10. well right now i dont think i have either. LOL From what i gather you guys are getting like 8L/100km with some in between thrashing. Im getting 8L/100km driving like a granny! Ok so how should i drive to fuel economy and how to drive for power (after ECU reset). And does ECU reset actually work???
  11. I was reading thru this post, and now im even more confused, some say reset the ECU, others say dont. Which one do I pick? I find my car rather sluggish and less fuel economic, would resetting the ECU really bring it back to (or even close to) what it was like when i first bought it? Ive clocked up about 49,000km since i bought in Feb04. If i do reset the ECU, how should i be driving between the frist 2- 300km to get good fuel economy as well as power when need it? http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=2020 (I got that 2-300km part from this thread).
  12. Slightly offtopic, but are Fulda tyres better or are Toyo tyres better?
  13. hmmmz BLKRLA are you running 215/45/R17 on both car pics you posted up - Stalkers (are they the Advanti ones) and Enkei RP03. And what offset are they?
  14. them RP03's are HOT!!!! How much did you pay for the out of curiousity. Anyways, i dont know if im gonna proceed with the Holotype-R's anymore. The offset is 38 according to Speedywheels (I called and confirmed), and i dont like the idea putting on 205/40's as it means im gonna clock up more Km's that i should (215/45/R17 scrape the guard so they are a no go and 205/45/R17 just shoot the cost above my desired budget). Unless someone can give me some more suggestions.
  15. ugh! I didnt know there were issues going down the lowered springs (35mm drop) and stock suspension. My mate did it to his and he says its fine.... even the tyre shop told him it was ok. Btw does anyone know the usual price difference on 215/45 vs 215/40's vs 205/40
  16. however if i dont lower the car and leave it as stock height, running 215/45/R17's will not pose any problems right? A quick calculation using http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html shows the following 195/60/R15 Sidewall: 117mm Radius: 307.50mm Diameter: 615mm Circumference: 1932.1 215/45/R17 Sidewall: 96.8mm Radius: 312.6mm Diameter: 625.3mm Circumference: 1964.4. Has anyone here run 215/45/R17's on a NON lowered corolla?
  17. those prices were from Australia's Best in Lakemba. But i got some better prices from Blairs in Cabramatta Trampio TPG 215/45/R17 91W - $180 195/60/R15 88H - $126 Transas TEO 195/60/R15 88H - $121
  18. Ummm im looking at the holotype-r Here's the info ive manged to get 17x7.0 ET38 4x100 Suits most popular 4-stud FWD vehicles. http://www.speedywheels.com.au/images/zoom/holotype-r.htm http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com/custo...olotype-R.shtml Offset = 42mm Lug Pattern = 4x100mm. So putting 215/45/R17 on this wheel will cause it to touch my guards right? What wheel size would not touch the guards? 205/45/R17?
  19. Thanks for that info BLKRLA =P -> :P =D -> :D I just substitue the ":" with a "=" thats all = is easier cos i dont need to press shift :P

    My New Rims

How much are the kmac springs? And where did you get from?
  21. hmmmz might wait another year then :P Out of curiousity how much more power would i get out of a CAI setup?
  22. Is it worth doing a CAI setup on a Corolla Conquest (Automatic), or would i just be wasting my money? If its worthwhile, where can i go in Sydney to pickup a kit and get it installed? (Does it also void my warranty?)
  23. So their arent multiple variations of King Lows, i was under the impression that the King Low springs can in different sizes and stuff (ie effecting the ride height). Would I be right in saying so as long as I ask for King Spings Lows for the corolla im only going to drop 1.5" max. Whats the legal limit you can drop btw? I'm looking at putting on 215/45/R17's and my corolla doesnt have a body kit and I dont intend on putting one on. Would that 1.5" drop look ok? Or would my car still look too high? Will I also need new shocks? Or its not necessary as the drop is minor? And how do King compare with Kmac ?
  24. i want i want! King springs that is. What model number is it? How would they cost to install though? Would the store i buy my tyres and rims off be prepared to install it? Or do i need to buy the springs from them? Also does it void my warranty? How many variations do they come in? As im only looking to drop 1" What model number springs should I be looking at?
