  1. hey thats near where i live! maybe i should go buy them and keep them for spare. :P
  2. Mothers scratch remover + wax to seal it (applied and wiped off with a terry towel) I do not recommend those Turtle colour blend thingys, they are absolute crap. It wont get rid of a deep scratch completely, but it works very well with light scratches (worked pretty well on my mates black euro, think his missus scraped it along some tree branches....though she denies this completely :P ) I remember reading something that it works by changing the refraction of light, hence the eye cannot see the scratches anymore... something along those lines. My blue corolla had a key mark too - down to the white bit as well - mothers scratch remover helped it a bit, but its still noticable.)
  3. so how do i get a jap made one? Are there any that are still made in Jap? I just went over to Toyota and picked it up over the counter.

keep in mind that your speedo will also be out. Depending what tyres you had originally when you're doing 100km on the speedo, you're really doing <94km.
  5. I remember being told to suck in the air and blow it out straight away (ie without inhaling it in your lungs), apparently that worked? <_< But I guess this method eliminates ppl doing this and getting away with it. Got RBT'ed about 1 month ago and got the same treatment.
  6. hmmmz just bought the Toyota oil filter today.... $18.85, made in THAILAND... is that safe? <_<
  7. Go see Dave @ DSports in Moorebank and see what he can do for ya. I got my bumper SCRATCHED (ie paint gone down to the black pastic), he fixed it for $100 :D (i got a cascade blue corolla as well). Mine blends in with the colour, and one would NEVER know it was damaged. (He's done it twice for now, first i stuffed the left, then i stuffed the right a few months later) Should take him less than a day (ie drop off morning, pickup afternoon). Im sure it will be cheaper than respraying those 3 panels. Unit 1/7 Regent Cres Moorebank 9601 3599 For map location see http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=5745

I think your sig looks better. Those flames look nice, especially when it blends in with the front lights. I also prefer the business card idea.
  9. DuGong seemed to like them, ask him for his opinion on them. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...pic=4995&hl=tpg My mate had some low end 14" Toyos (i think 330's) on his corolla, i loved them, they hugged the road better than the stock dunlop sport toyota gave me (and mine were 15") Also The TPG's are being replaced by the Proxes 4, if you're in Sydney, Blairs Cabramatta seems to be cheapest for Toyos. eh? Why is that? 205/55/R16 can support 5.5 - 7.5" rim depth. Would 205/55/R16 scrape?
  10. 205/55/R16 are a common profile, therefore being cheaper. Does this profile exist in Australia?
  11. Ok im sold. So i can just pop over to Toyota Spare parts and buy a Denso Oil Filter for the corolla right?
  12. hehe now im even more confused. Northy says just grab anything Sxxypac says Ryco Rollamods says Genuine Denso Toyota ones. Given three options i cant even flip a coin. :P So what does everyone else use?
  13. ahh i thought there was a special one you guys used. So even the generic Repco branded one will do?
  14. For my 50,000km service ive decided to supply my own oil (The Mobil 1 Gold 10w-30 as recommended by you guys), and im gonna take it to my mechanic to get it done. My mechanic also asked me if i had my own oil filter, but after I said no, he said he's got ones in stock. Now if im to go buy my own oil filter, which one do i get? I seen the price start off @ $10 and go to $25 and maybe even higher. Im gonna take the car to service this Thursday (so that leaves me 2 days to get the oil filter), so if you guys could give me some suggestions that would be great! Thanks all!
  15. 205/45/R17 are also an uncommon profile, they are around the same price as the bridgestone turanzas E30. 215/45/R17 is a cheaper common profile, but some ppl have said they scrape the guards. 44gze is selling his sportivo tyres + rim for $500 (approx 5000km), so maybe if you can then sell your existing rims with the worn rubber (approx $200) to offset the cost.
  16. 195/55/R16 is expensive because its uncommon (The Turanza E30 are like $200+ per tyre), you can always try another profile like 205/55/R16 or 215/55/R16 instead. The only way you're gotta get a cheap deal on the 195/55/R16's is if someone is selling their existing rubber (if you offer me $130 per tyre you can have mine, then i can go get some Toyo 205/55/R16's :P) 205/55/R16 89V i believe is a more common profile (hence cheaper), I made an inquiry from Blairs Tyres @ Cabramatta for some Toyo Trampio TPG's @ 205/55/R16, and they were like $144 per tyre and 205/50/R16 are $195 (i havent used this particular tyre but others have and said its excellent). 17. Ive still got the side mouldings on my car, yet my door still managed to get dented in a carpark. Damn inconsiderate ppl (and i even park it in the corner and leave a gap of 40cm between my car and line - yet they still hit it )
  18. Adidas gang? WTF? Do they all wear Adidas? What about Nike/Reebok/Converse/Puma/Champion gang, surely those must exist too. :P
  19. Saw the Motul 300v 10w-40 4L for $80 http://www.repcoshop.com.au/ASP/Catalogue/CatPage12.asp
  20. i cant see the pics! You've exceeded your Geocities bandwidth for the day. LOL, pics are way too popular :D Try using this site and linking the images on instead. http://imagestore.ugbox.net/

print it on an white piece of A5, and leave a yellow envelope next to it :P
  22. just buy some seat covers instead. I got a front + back set for $75 =) Repco currently have a special and have a front + back set for $45 (mine look similar to that but with out the dragon/scorpion or whatever picture stitched into the seat is). http://www.repcoshop.com.au/ASP/Catalogue/CatPage11.asp Also i found that the particular seat covers i had absorb liquid quite well (it had some foam padding of some sort). My gf also split some powerade on my seat covers (she didnt tighten the lid properly and left it in the car, left a mark about 20cm in diameter), but when i checked the actual seat, it was still DRY! When you sell the car leave the seat covers on... the next owner will never know. LOL I prefer these seat covers to the throw overs cos they actually stay and dont slide around.
  23. The main website is http://www.hrracingwheels.com.au/ On there it states the headoffice is Nsw head office: Agr tyres 62-64 Carlingford St Sefton Nsw 2162 (02) 9743 7800 Vic Head Office: Motorsport Wheels & Tyres 22a Princes hwy Doveton Vic 3177 (03) 9793 3244 Another rim place is http://www.altwheels.com.au/home.jsp Though the importer for Australia is TurboAutoSpares @ Cabramatta in Sydney.
