Toyota did release a Bathurst MR2 if I remember correctly. They used to have the Super Tourer class here but it went dead. That's the one where Brocky drove that weapon volvo turbo. The Audi's usually came away with the wins.

I saw an XR5 Turbo the other day. It sounded very interesting. Very ballsy. Given that it's a 5 cylinder it has a very interesting note to it.

Tander was ok with me until he started growing a big head. I personally bumped into Mark Skaife also and his head was already overgrown. That's my opinion though. If I'm going for a holden driver it'll be Steve Richards. I hope Canto gets a good drive as well (he's in it I hope). Local boy up where my godfather is.

Personally I hope Craig Lowndes gets up. This won't be about Ford or Holden this weekend. Craig was Peter Brocks understudy and apprentice. He learnt everything he did off his master, and not just how to drive. Craig Lowndes embodies what I saw in Peter Brock has molded into one of our great current sporting icons. He is the smiling gentleman that drives with his heart. He will have a big drive tomorrow. I do not say good luck to him, as he will not need it. Tomorrow must be his day. I can feel it.

On the serious side brandon and I were talking about the final car to come out badged as a 'TRD' vehicle. It'd have to be the Corolla I think. I'm thinking a kitted facelift hatch with similar stylings to that of the sportivo or levin. Powerplant? Brandon and I were unsure. I'm thinking they may make an economical but zippy turbo or s/c. Could even be a juiced up 1zz maybe, given that Toyota Australia may not have much to play with in the Corolla department. Mr Bates will ensure that it's good though. That TRD Aurion looks insane.

Haha thanks rob Yea I did alot of research when I was lookin into it myself (ended up in disappointment cos it meant I couldn't buy Richos stivo wheels :( )... O well u live n learn When you look at it, it is marginal though. Fad is about to run stivo wheels himself. Richo however (although he does realise, and I haven't said anything because I don't want him to stress out) is actually running 205/40 profile on his 17's :S. They are rated at 84. I think I might tell him now for his own sake. Poor bugger :(

Rob (badboyz) can answer that one (he has a drives in 205/55R16 cos they onli had them in stock not the 205/50R16) He rekoned they were good just a bit too mcuh sidewall flex. Also there is a significantly larger rolling diameter (especially for non-sportivo's like us) which the guy at Bob-Jane-T-Masts reckoned you could get defected for (as they increase rollin diameter by 17mm and he said usually the max allowable is 15mm either way(it onli increases the rolling diameter for the sportivo by 11mm (which is legal))). Yes the 205/55's are very cushy and comfy. They still stick aruond corners but they have that spongey feel (booooooo). 205/50's would be the better choice if you were looking at performance. FYI too, when I'm grabbing the 17's (Steve is the best lol) I'm sticking with the 215/40 profile. Most likey am mating those rims with a.drives later ;)
