  1. My mates 6 speed kia cerato (2.0L toyota engine) sits at about the same!
  2. Haha saw you on the gt86.com.au forums too! Again mate, congratulations! So Jealous!!
  3. Welcome mate!! Aurions rock and welcome to the club.
  4. It's unfortunate about Canberra being dead!! Moved here 2 months ago for work. Enjoying the place so far. Will have to hit up the NSW lot for a meet =]
  5. Couple of pics from a Auto GT 86 in Fyshwick Canberra: Too embarrassed to bring my DSLR in for proper shots :P maybe when they have a proper manual GTS in!
  6. Thanks a lot for that info!! I love the Aero Pack (so I ordered it..) But the spoiler is a bit.. Hmmmm I think you know what I mean!! we'll see if I get used to it or not, otherwise I'll be replacing it with the TRD one I reckon!
  7. Welcome mate, you'll love it!!!!
  8. I got my order in yesteday. The dealer said if I had waited till next week it wouldn't be delivered until mid next year.... That's right... Seems the waiting list is tipping over to 12 months!!! Mine should be due to arrive anywhere before Feb and after October. (This generally means end of Feb.)
  9. Niceeeeee plates! I'm putting my deposit down for my 86 tomorrow :D After disapproval by the missus... I came to a conclusion that I must buy it!
  10. Seen a few on the way to/from work here in Canberra... The rear lights are a real let down :( After the awesome 07/08(?) round LED's to the high tech rectangle ones of the models after. Only to downgrade to camry-like bulbs? Mehhh, highly disappointed in the look of the back!! But the front and interior are pretty damn good :D
  11. Haven't driven many 'sports' cars. But the best car I've had/driven was my first car. 2001 mitsubishi lancer, 4 door sedan 1.8l... Darwin had heaps of dirt roads and I used to thrash the thing on them on the weekends... Nothing like a car that's worth nothing, never breaks down and is just infinite fun. Dirt drifting FWD FTW.
  12. Yeah my girlfriend is not going to be happy.... Although our Garage will look awesome with the Black Sportivo and this in it :D
  13. Oh jesus christ Toyota.. Had my heart set on a WRX... Now this Aero pack hits my childish nature like a hurricane..... Dammnnnn youuuuuuu!!
  14. Saw one in the background of one of the morning news shows... Blue, it looked great! Added: Also Canberra thinks they'll have a BRZ in for a test drive at the end of July.
  15. GT86, BRZ, Ralliart or WRX... Which one to get new?!?!

  16. Old thread, but good info. Age: 22 (20 when purchased) Sex: Male Status: In a Relationship (5 years.) Reason for Purchase: Wasn't really a 'car person' but wanted something respectable and that I wouldn't need to replace for a while. Something that looked decent (with a sporty tinge), would be great on road trips (have done many) and had great power/economy. Was in the market for SV6, XR6, Camry and the Aurion SX6/ZR6. Obviously chose the SX6 and after trying the others it was a clear good choice :)
  17. That coming from the salesguy doesn't suprise me at all, given they've got a surplus of auto's in the first allocation. Yeah that doesn't surprise me... Even if the gearbox was great in the Auto I'd never inch from my plans of a manual.
  18. Good choice mate, you'll love it!! I've still got a few years before I'll need to come back to an Aurion, so yeah different circumstances! See you around here soon!
  19. Canberra's 4 or so 86's are all on hold (sold pending test drives) so the dealer won't let me drive one!! Was advised a new batch is coming in at the end of the month.... added: I told him I wanted to drive the manual but he insisted the Automatic gearbox was great and a lot better.. Interesting!
  20. Hey mate, I'm about to do the complete opposite swap than you!! I'm in the market for a new WRX in the coming months haha. The Aurion has great straight-line power so if you go on a lot of highway cruises I would highly suggest it.. (don't know about you, but I like to spend as little time as possible next to, or behind road trains.) The V6 in the Aurion is extremely reliable, my car is an ex-hire (boooo...) but I've had her completely checked out by a mechanic and Toyota, it's been given the highest grade in mechanical quality.. But really you can't go wrong with any Toyota as a family car. I use mine to cart the family around and I'm extremely happy with how it runs and fits everything. 2 large suitcases+bags in the boot fit easily. Baby seats have plenty of room. The 54960783058023 airbags give it great safety ratings :) I'm a bit of a fan but I love my Sportivo Aurion (SX6) I can only imagine the ZR6 is better!! Good luck on your hunt, buy whatever feels right!
  21. Just moved from Adelaide to Canberra! If I was still in town something could be organised!! If you're into car cruises the main one in Adelaide (i've found) is SA SUPRA. Haven't checked up on them in a while but they're known for letting non-supra drivers on the cruises :)
  22. I wouldn't be too concerned about odometer tampering on a Yaris. It definitely happens on a lot of imports or performance cars though. (This is not me saying it DOES NOT HAPPEN, it does. Just on a Yaris? Extremely unlikely.) Yaris is a great choice, my 20y/o female cousin has one (2006 model) and she loves it. She does a lot of dirt road driving and the car hasn't had any issues in the 2 years driving it in the rough. Otherwise if you have a family member or friend that's a bit of a mechanic get them to check the cars out with you.
  23. Probably too late but my current Avatar is my pride and joy shot :P PM me if you want the original. I can organise a dropbox DL link.
