  1. I get about 650 ~ 700kms out of my ZRE hatch in winter. Summer ****s it all up. This is running 98 RON. (BP or Caltex) FYI, I just did my 30,000km service and I requested a fuel injection treatment ($99 from toyota) and it made it even better. So far i had 750km from full to empty.
  2. Dutchman, Can you send some links my way, i might take a lookie :)
  3. if your not doing anything wrong, dont worry. cant be that hard i too hate when the cops are on my tail, just do the limit, stay off the drugs and booze and then there is no probs :)

  5. can you define your ausio install more. was it just a DVD Headunit? Any subs, amps?
  6. Optima Yellow Top and a Capacitor and you'll be sweet Depending how much power your system is will depend on how many fared your cap needs to be.
  7. Yes, you will require that kit to block out the sides of the install. If you need a hand, let me know. I'll hopefully be doing mine this weekend!
  8. Double Din personal looks more complete. Than said, the single dins are great if you need some storage for a portable music player or wallet. Get a pocket if you go single DIN. Also, if you need a hand installing it, let me know.
  9. Great stuff man. People who can offer an unbiased review of products and services are hard to come by. Keep up the good work.
  10. Hey man, They are 6 inch speakers splits. If your in Sydney, I'm more than willing to help you on your quest for audio yumminess :)
  11. Hey Guys, Yes, its a Fujitsu ten / eclipse stereo. They still do all the stereos for Toyota's sold in AU. There is a USB & AUX port on the front of the unit where you can plug a USB stick, iPod / iPhone or other Portable Music Player. I plug my iphone 32GB in to the stock unit via the cable supplied by apple to connect it to a MAC or PC. With so much music, I would suggest using the genius function, so you get the same style of music maybe? But there should be no probs with connecting it up....it will even charge it for you :)
  12. This info might be a bit old but i'm installing the AVN mentioned into a ZRE rolla with sub, speakers, amps, cap + awesomeness (that last one comes standard :P) Click the link in my signature to follow the progress. I should be doing the AVN by the end of this month and some basic cabling
  13. hey, I've never done this mod before, but it cant be too hard and would be willing to give it a go if your in SYD.
  14. Dutchie, dutchie, dutchie ... at last someone else who thinks like me :) I've had the BIG systems in the past and have spent loads on getting them sounding *sweet* but I think you get over all that after a while. So good to hear someone agree ;) /me doesn't approve of this ....but so long as your happy :) Sorry to be a troll, but products like this are great for low end fill like what the dutchman is looking at. I would personal learn towards the focal as they do have a nicer sound. All this however comes down to personal taste.
  15. u54mot, at this stage as see no need for one. this may change, but not gonna happen for a while.

  17. Thanks for the heads up. I've already .... almost paid off the whole stereo. Should have it done by end of the month........Then the fun begins :)
  18. For all those who work in call centres :)
  19. Hey, They are either going to be 4" x 7" or 6" x 9" speakers
  20. The store can be found if you look >> HERE The prices should only be used as a guide
  21. Ha, I was more questioning the 'and it doesn't pretty good' part :P Sorry man, I half dead typing this stuff my mates alpine system does pretty good for the price
  22. ALLOR152: I'm going more for SQ, SPL does nothing for me. Door removal: under the door handle (champagne bits) there are 2 screws and under the door handle, there is a plastic cover with one screw under it. Remove all 3 screws and then peel the top part of the tirm off till it clicks out. Then using a softish plastic tool (so you don't scratch panels), run the tool between the trim and the metal door carefully. Everything will slowly pop out and the trim will come off. Laos, make sure you unplug all the switches first! Aucix: As I mentioned before, I'm not going to recommend any particular brand, it all comes down to what you like the sound of and your budget. That said, I do have a mate that has a fully alpine setup and it doesn't pretty good. He wasn't wasn't going for HQ audio, just something better than stock with a good range of features and well priced
