  5. zainy, Please remember these are personal views and other people experiences may differ :) This will all come down to your budget and if you want something that will just do the job, or provide some future proofing. I always look at the latter. If you spend a bit more now, there should be no reason why it doesn't last a few years. From personal experience, I would stay away from the cheap brands. They might have the price and look OK, but the quality is just not there. I would look at brands like: Head Decks : Clarion, Kenwood, Eclipse, Apline Cabin Speakers : Clarion, Rockford Fosgate, Hertz Subs: Rockford Fosgate, Hertz Amps : Rockford Fostgate, Clarion, Hertz This will come down to your budget. Hope this helps :)
  6. bright idea :P /me likey / ok, delete dad joke now
  7. A fix would be to get dynamat put in the piller. Might cost about $150 and some careful time, but it would put your mind at ease. :)
  8. Firstly, welcome to TOCAU. My old car was a 96 3VZ-FE and I only ran 20w-50 in it. The car had 320,000km and burnt a little oil on start-up. I lived in the blue mountains at the time (so the temps are similar). I would just use a good brand. personal fav's Nullon - any type (spelling) and Castrol GTX3 or mangatec. Forget shell, get too black too quickly for our cars and any of the premium stuff just isn't worth it.
  9. you might hate my suggestion but take it to the dealer!
  10. Firstly, welcome to the forum. The aussie built camry's have there auto boxes come out form a mob in wagga wagga (or wadonga cant remember). As Applegarth said, the US ones had issues, but I think you find the dealer is on the money with the ABS test. I have driven a manual gen 6 and didn't find this problem at all. One question, does this happen on startup from cold? or is it something that happens every time you take off?
