  1. My setup

    Fullexhaust.jpg

High flow cat, i dont think is worth it for the minimal if any gains.

The ZRE also has a large resonator and cat in one, see my pic, bottom torpedo looking thang:

    removed.jpg

I removed it in the setup originally, but after shaking the ***** out of my teeth and being way too loud, i opted to put it back in. Dropped a few kW doing so.

Axle back is just as it reads. There is a join above the rear axle, and this is where 90% of the ZRE systems are made back from. See the pic of bits and you will see what i mean. A good box from the axle back is generally fine for sound enhancement..

The angle of my JunBL setup...

... And yep, any decent exhaust house should be able to easily do an axle back system...If not theres something seriously wrong...

Thanks mate. So in other words, you're saying to keep my stock cat and resonator (I'm assuming mine has one - lol you can tell I'm completely clueless), and throw on an axleback? Would I still be able to use the Xforce S10 / S12 muffler with this kind of setup? And damn, I love your exhaust tips :D

  2. so I just called up Dandy Exhausts and the guy suggested for me to get a Catco Metal Cat (not sure about the dimensions - I'm quite newbie when it comes to all this stuff) and Xforce Twinloop (deciding whether to go S10 or S12 - I guess which is a better fit).. all fitted for $750? sound about right to you guys?

On the topic of the dimensions for the cat - what should I be looking at?

  3. Hey guys, after getting my wheels and tyres installed and lowered, I'm thinking of getting a new muffler installed in my car to give it a bit of a "sportier" note and was wondering what kinds of mufflers everyone would suggest? I've read that lots of people are going for Xforce and Magnaflow, but what are the pros/cons of both and are there any other manufacturers I could look at? Not looking to spend toooooo much (I think I saw the price of TRD high response mufflers were like $750 not installed) but somewhere around the $400-$500 mark?

Also, where would be the best place that people would suggest in Melbourne for me to go get it done? Cheers guys :)

  4. rrrr spotted a blue corolla that needs loweringgggg ! xD

*so to speak i need rims and lowering -______________- " *

*edit* - lol you can see the plates refection on my hood, ahah !

Yep that needs some serious lowering. Is it me, or do the stock Sportivos sit a lot higher than the stock Ascent/Conquest/etc.?

  5. Hey guys,

Been wanting to get some custom rims for the aurion for a while, but havent found anything

im 100% pleased with....so i need your help..

Below is the LWT Osaka Mannus, which i like to a certain extent.

    post-15150-0-54692700-1307343580_thumb.j

What do you think? Would they look good on a Carribean Blue Aurion SX6?

    post-15150-0-13229700-1307343591_thumb.j

Also I was really happy with these, post-15150-0-75722300-1307344075_thumb.j

but my toyota service centre and the guys

at beaurepairs said, they wont fit because they only come in 20"s although i have

seen 20"s on aurions on here??? (shrugs)

they said choose a design that comes in 18" max and come back.....

so please tell me what you think of the Osaka Mannus wheels, or any other suggestions you have...THANK YOU!

I had the Osaka Mannus (18's) on my old 2003 Ravy - they were okay, got sick of them after a while though; IMHO the bottom ones are better. Don't think the Osaka Mannus will suit that well for your Blue Aurion.. but hey that's my opinion. If you like them, go for it :)

  6. works fine in my phone, -adroid,

using its default internet surfing thingy.,

lol @ "default internet surfing thingy". It worked fine for me it's just that my account wasn't fully active and hence I didn't have a "username" to login with because I initially registered here using that "Facebook Connect" function. All good now though.

  7. not sure if the OP sorted this out, but I had this issue originally, not being able to log on to the forums with my iphone (either safari or the actual iPB app). This was due to me registering originally with FB Connect and I guess doing so didn't really create a fully activated account. My workaround for this was to go through the "forgot my password" process - where once you enter in the email address that is registered to either your facebook or twitter (depending whether you used FB Connect or Twitter Connect), you will receive an email (subject: "Password recovery information from Toyota Onwers Club - Australia") and within this email will contain a hyperlink to validate/activate your password - click this hyperlink and go through the proceeding steps and then you should be all set to go! Hope that helps others on the forum here :)

PS - some "hopefully helpful" screenshots added. and in regards to the i.PB app - I find it quite useless as it's pretty much a webfront to the actual mobile version of the site - and upon initial sign-in to the forums using this app I always get some error.

  8. Alrighty, so I got the wheels put in and lowered.

    • 17" Advanti Talon in Gunmetal Grey
    • Lowered on Pedders Sports Ryder Lows on stock shocks (couldn't afford to go for coilovers just yet)

Looks pretty shmick in my opinion. I like the smokey look of the wheels against the black car. Hopefully when the springs settle in over the next couple of weeks it will look even better at a slightly lower level (especially the rears), but even at the moment I really like the look.

Took about 30 mins to get the wheels installed and about 2 hours to get the springs installed and wheels aligned afterwards.. after that, brought it to the carwash to give it a bit of a washee washee... so nice and clean now.

Pics attached below - wish the lighting wasn't so terrible in my apartment complex's parking. Hopefully some good weather is upon us Melbournians soon, so I can take the car out to the beach and take some shots there :)
