  1. Ah, thanks. How much did your axleback end up costing if you don't mind me asking? Just so I can have a rough idea as to how much I'd be looking at. Cheers.
  2. thanks buddy - I'll give them a call today and see what they reckon about the axle back exhaust rather than the high flow cat - I'm assuming a custom axle back shouldn't cost any more than the high flow cat?
  3. Thanks mate. So in other words, you're saying to keep my stock cat and resonator (I'm assuming mine has one - lol you can tell I'm completely clueless), and throw on an axleback? Would I still be able to use the Xforce S10 / S12 muffler with this kind of setup? And damn, I love your exhaust tips :D
  4. thanks for the info, dutchie. Would most exhaust shops be able to do a custom job for me (I'm assuming it would cost more). What exaclty is an axleback exhaust and how does it differ from a highflow cat?
  5. so I just called up Dandy Exhausts and the guy suggested for me to get a Catco Metal Cat (not sure about the dimensions - I'm quite newbie when it comes to all this stuff) and Xforce Twinloop (deciding whether to go S10 or S12 - I guess which is a better fit).. all fitted for $750? sound about right to you guys? On the topic of the dimensions for the cat - what should I be looking at?
  6. Not far from the top of the thread( page 3 or 4) I found this; http://au.toyotaowne...exhaust-system/ Glenroy is not too far from Melbourne is it? thanks buddy - it's about a 45 minute drive from where I live though :/
  7. sorry to highjack the thread - but does anyone have any suggestions for Exhaust/Muffler shops (that also do fitting) in Melbourne?
  8. Yeah I've checked them out but nothing really caught my eye. Has anyone had any experience with Autobarn?
  9. Thanks, but was hoping to go to a place in Melbourne that would have the stock readily available. @Jeffy: probably. Unless other people have better opinions/options.
  10. Hey guys, after getting my wheels and tyres installed and lowered, I'm thinking of getting a new muffler installed in my car to give it a bit of a "sportier" note and was wondering what kinds of mufflers everyone would suggest? I've read that lots of people are going for Xforce and Magnaflow, but what are the pros/cons of both and are there any other manufacturers I could look at? Not looking to spend toooooo much (I think I saw the price of TRD high response mufflers were like $750 not installed) but somewhere around the $400-$500 mark? Also, where would be the best place that people would suggest in Melbourne for me to go get it done? Cheers guys :)
  11. how's the work going on the car buddy? :)
  12. Yep that needs some serious lowering. Is it me, or do the stock Sportivos sit a lot higher than the stock Ascent/Conquest/etc.?
  13. I had the Osaka Mannus (18's) on my old 2003 Ravy - they were okay, got sick of them after a while though; IMHO the bottom ones are better. Don't think the Osaka Mannus will suit that well for your Blue Aurion.. but hey that's my opinion. If you like them, go for it :)
  14. Oh man... I think I need me some Auris badges.. Looks so clean.
  15. LOL gotta secure my front bumper before I rock up to any meets :X
  16. Gosh I really want a DSLR now so I can start taking better pics of my car on its modding journey... Not sure if its "Hot Hatch Potential" just yet, but the pic in my signature is probably the only somewhat decent pic of it so far with all its current mods, apart from the crappy lighting and location lol.
  17. haha which one did you get? Incredible S? Desire HD? I used to have an android phone but went back to iPhone. Virtual keyboard is unbeatable on the iPhone. and btw you do have buttons, they're just virtual buttons :P anyways back on topic.. lol
  18. lol @ "default internet surfing thingy". It worked fine for me it's just that my account wasn't fully active and hence I didn't have a "username" to login with because I initially registered here using that "Facebook Connect" function. All good now though.
  19. lol only got to drive it to Woolworths @ Sth Melb today. but yesterday - new wheels, lowering, and washee washee: http://au.toyotaowne...post__p__450115 Wanted to go out today to the beach to take some photos with the nice Melbourne weather today but I fell asleep LOL.
  20. not sure if the OP sorted this out, but I had this issue originally, not being able to log on to the forums with my iphone (either safari or the actual iPB app). This was due to me registering originally with FB Connect and I guess doing so didn't really create a fully activated account. My workaround for this was to go through the "forgot my password" process - where once you enter in the email address that is registered to either your facebook or twitter (depending whether you used FB Connect or Twitter Connect), you will receive an email (subject: "Password recovery information from Toyota Onwers Club - Australia") and within this email will contain a hyperlink to validate/activate your password - click this hyperlink and go through the proceeding steps and then you should be all set to go! Hope that helps others on the forum here :) PS - some "hopefully helpful" screenshots added. and in regards to the i.PB app - I find it quite useless as it's pretty much a webfront to the actual mobile version of the site - and upon initial sign-in to the forums using this app I always get some error.
  21. Lol yeah I'm hoping to. Edit: Damn it, didn't get to go out. Fell asleep and missed my opportunity! Was going to drive out to St. Kilda beach. It was wonderful weather today!
  22. Thanks jeffy :) Nah not at MC. Parked at my apartment carpark lol. MC carpark would generally be more packed than that :P
  23. So lowering is done.. carwash done. Some pics here: :)
