  1. you can get a silicon one from SCA, but it might be a tad exp, i got a rubber one from bunnings for like $10
  2. lol! car looking great duy, can't wait to hit the tracks again with you soon!
  3. try goo away for superglue, might work, but whoever did it was a grade A retard
  4. Was that aimed at me phil? XD haha let's say it's universally applicable :P
  5. need more low boys, clearing gutters = too high :P looking good nevertheless!
  6. lol maybe at 10 theres a few patrol lurking around...
  7. i don't think i can make it at 9 neither can a few of the others i don't think, what is there to do/eat at the club
  8. hanging out with the misses in the evening and early night will likely by something around 9 - 10pm or so..
  9. tad sunk... but still quite good.. the money shot! i think i can lower the rears a little more, even tuck it... however i would end up losing my exhaust on a speedhump ><
  10. ^ as above, i used a stanley knife, but only because the tape was a little on the thick side, otherwise you really risk scratching your headlights
  11. thoroughly enjoyed my day there on saturday, although the weather was quite ordinary.... the drifts were great although walking up the slope was suicide
  12. 20/02 - seeing as one of the strut tops were slightly loose, i went ahead and ripped apart the rear interior to make sure that both the rear struts tops are as tight as it should be.. once i managed to pull out the rear cushions everything became relatively easy. I will post a guide on removing rear seats once i get the time. 26/02 - went on a roadtrip to lorne, for anyone who's been to Melbourne before it's one of the most fantastic roads to drive on.. unfortunately for me i was just rubbing the whole time and it ended up shredding the front driver side tyre pretty badly... the guard was also pushed out by the tyre and i had to lip it with a breaker bar damaging the paint... unfortunately it was really my only option :( Nasty... 1/03 - Finally found the time to get my guards done, I went to Hybrid Notion and han helped me lip the front and rear guards, word of advice is the rear guards is filled with glue or some sort of hard plastic behind it so you need to cut it out with a stanley knife first before you can knock it back... Han did a really good job as he sealed the rears so water doesn't get in and start rust and even sand it down a little and put primer on it as i told him i will paint it myself later on. Once the guards were lipped the rubbing on the front has ceased however the rears were still rubbing as i don't run enough camber on the +13 offset :( 2/03 - Having given up running such low offset I switched it back to +30 on the rears, i miss the flushness however not rubbing everywhere i go is a real advantage. Still having slight problems rubbing when full locked anti clockwise, it sounds like the tyre is rubbing against the inner guard.. will need to inspect it when the weather improves, day to day driving is still fine so it's not a big issue. I'm going to miss you +13 Got sick of the badly CF wrapped intake so I decided to respray it... I really wanted a HKS or Cusco Blue, however there isn't really any paint codes for it so i went for a DC5R Arctic Blue Pearl, I'm a big fan of that colour :P Really happy with the finish, did about 2 coats primer, 6 coats colour, 5 coats clear... Overall I think it made the engine bay heaps neater/cleaner and I am quite happy with the result.. I will take it out to rub it down with some 2000grit and give it a good polish when I have the time. Also massively late post my gf made me these for Christmas.. mainly because my Recaros apparently aren't cushioned enough!
  13. oh sorry, let me clarify, my price is installation only, you will have to supply the springs yourself
  14. depends on where in melbourne you are, GT hyper is pretty good... you'll be looking at around $200 + $75 for alignment also garasi auto on westside is around same price.. if you had spring compressors it's a pretty simple DIY job
  15. check all the clips first, some may be stuck on the door frame, take it off and reattach to trim before putting it in
  16. anyone else going? i will if a few more people from tocau goes
  17. do you have coilovers? it could be the locking nut... if not check the strut tower
  18. hey trung, it was only cheap because they were mid 2008 production so shelf life is almost over, guess they are just cutting their losses, just shattered that it rubbed my tyres :( haha skyline aus :( i'd be shamed by my lack of power.... btw are they having it at shepperton? are you going to any of the upcoming tampered days, i would love to receive some pointers
  19. definately second this. low is just a "stance" factor, nothing more. I've tried to raise my car but to stock height but the coils dont let me :( guys guys im not a track junkie..................... yet :P the wheels i rock are like 8.6KG each, but they look sexxxxxxyyyyyyyy :D:D
  20. hey justin, atm i'm just a hard parker lol.... i shall get back to my racing modifications in due time
  21. 19/02 - Went to a mates house to get my car lowered... at first all went well, the rears were fine... ooops dropped it a little too low :P front right coilover was a struggle as unknowingly someone actually glued the lock to the thread, it took a good hour with a C spanner then a screwdriver to release it. nevertheless the job was eventually done! this was how it looked... now for the all important first test drive, reversing out of the driveway we hear a few bumps from the RR coilover, now unknowing what it was we decided to give it a quick run anyway, immediately we were having problems with the car rubbing against the guard and the undeniable smell of burning rubber... i took the car back to my mates place to inspect what the problem is. firstly this is what it done to my lovely new tyres ><, but it's quite shallow and would probably be gone after a spirited drive or two. the knocking noise was actually the result of the nut on the top of the coilover coming loose when we were adjusting the height, the whole suspension unit almost dropped out when we took the wheel off... luckily it didn't, so we tightened it back up, inspected all the other strut tops and raised it by about 1cm... after taking it for another test drive everything seem to be fine... inspecting it after driving 40kms home there were no additional signs of rubber on the guards, i'll need to get the guards rolled and possibly more low :P i'll update some pics of the final height once the coilovers settle tomorrow.
  22. 11/02 - Got some new tyres courtesy of Ali at Taleb Tyres, 4x Advan AD07s 225/45/16s for $500 shipped from Sydney, if you're there it's $110 a Tyre what a bargain! Although AD07s are a little old now, these are 2008 production, for the price they are amazing, i rather burn these off at a track than pay $200 + a tyre for RE002s which probably perform less. Car is 4WD'in abit with the new tyres although the guard space has been reduced, quite happy with the poke it has now though. oh god, i can even clear gutters
