Ditch cannon, get yourself a decent 2.5" straight-through muffler (as long as you can physically fit in there). Twin-loop mufflers are useless IMO. Hotdogs 'smooth' your note out (definitely helps remove any raspiness that tends to happen in NA twinky engines), so keep them. Could you please explain why twinloops are useless? The amount of money they cost, you can just get yourself a better stainless muffler that will sound exactly the same. Agreed!!

That sounds about right! gottabit of time do it urself & just try to preserve the seals during extraction & buy it from a seals place cost u a tenner maybe(or just buy from toyota pre-disassembling) & one to two hours on the fiddle.. Good luck

92 Corolla Timing Belt - how much for replacement?

Gday mate! It depends if the engine (esp the 4AFE) on the timing belt teeth count Dayco KTBA012 is a 94 teeth belt with all associated oil seals (better to be safe than sorry) Dayco KTBA015 is a 117 teeth belt with all associated oil seals Both costing around $80.00 WA in may be cheaper in th east! plus maybe a couple hours on the tools (3 tops) manufactures have always argued the timing belt change but Toyota do say 100K but belt manufacterers say 80K..just check the last replacement date & then do the maths! -

there are seals from the top n bottom of the Distributor shaft & they do have a tendency to leak..there is an O-ring that acts like a gasket between the housing n the block & the dizzy in itself has seals as well.I personally have seen it & have had it rectified.. dont know personally the effects of leaving it i would fix it straight away (but thats just me (ive been told I'm anal).Just a keep an eye on it really just to be safe!!..

As i used to work for a toyota dealership awhile ago,We had the Aurions come back with the same complaint of clunking when cold during transmission changes we had a close look from all corners & originally diagnosed the delayed reaction of the transmission ECU & just cold operational temps..but on the third comeback we noticed the gearbox mount (top) bolt required tightening we assume it loosened up since factory & since then have utilised the same to another two Aurions with a very good success rate I hope this helps
