The 3ZRFE is a production engine but not with a turbo attached to it. Also it isn't worth the minimal gains to swap it in over the original 2ZR

Another factor to include is variation in weather conditions (wind, humidity and temperature) and grip levels. Both can alter your times a fair amount.

Get a 15mm spacer and it will make them sit perfect! :)

Tighten your A/C belt tensioner? Its a corolla... every corolla i have ever driven has had squeaky belts, if it doesnt it will eventually... haha

If you dont pay anyone to do the labor... take your head off - send to head reco place and shave it down to add compression. Get a new headgasket and slap it back together... its a big job but if you do it yourself it should cost just under $500

Yeah, custom subframes, new floor and suspension geometries... not to mention new engine position... its so similar to a stock corolla! :P

Interesting read, not sure i agree with much of it though. for example being 50mm higher in the rear is gonna make it plow on turn in and slide on exit. there is way too much of a height difference! and especially if the weight is a 65:35 distribution!!

Track spec? time attack? Im not sure you know what you are getting yourself into here - coilovers - sway bars - strut braces - CAI - Exhaust - Engine chip - Strip interior - SEMI SLICKS! and thats just the basics... lol You can easily spend over $10,000 AUD on making that car go fast.

TRD brake pads shouldnt be glazing up... I run QFM A1RMs daily for a few months now and i have a squealing to grinding noise from my brakes depending on how hard i press. lighter usually squeaks and harder grinds. its just the nature of the pad itself. Also you dont need to machine rotors unless youve warped them and they vibrate under braking (felt through the steering wheel)

After stalling for such a long time, I thought that I should get the exhaust done. The exhaust setup I had previously was a fairly standard setup apart from the straight through xforce muffler with dodgy welds. This caused many exhaust leaks around those weld points... It was loud, droney and no better than standard, actually if anything it was probably worse. So after making a few orders the mailman made a visit last week dropping off these two Magnaflow items. A High-Flow Cat Converter and a Straight through muffler both in 2.25 inch. meow. So I went about fitting them up at the exhaust shop. After getting quotes from many places and advice, I went to TrueFlow in Melton. Walked in and told them that I wanted a 2.25 mandrel system and ill supply cat and muffler etc etc. As I returned to collect the car, I found that they not only welded in the cat and muffler, but they also kinda remade my secondaries and flex pipe!! Not bad bit of work when they didnt even charge me a cent over what they quoted :D I didnt end up going with a tip, I like how raw it looks as it is... lol I took it for a spin right away and found the car to be less droney. When you are cruising I actually found it easier to talk and listen to my passeger than before, I wasnt yelling anymore haha Once you put your foot down it turns up to 11! I found that there is alot more response, torque and power! She even chirps easier in 2nd! :D Obligatory fly by vid
