  1. It'll fly more when the cam-gears get installed...
  2. Ahh, the power of moderator privileges... To be fair though, with a wheelbase 2 suburbs long it doesn't really need moar lows, just sideskirts and a rear lip (and paint the front one).
  3. Here's a shot I took on the weekend at the TOCAU annual meet - it kinda highlights just how low the exhaust is sitting, and why it scrapes on any bump bigger than a strand of spaghetti
  4. Twincam Bathurst cruise is the next day so I might come down and stay the night
  5. Should have my shots from the photoshoot up tonight, unfortunately they tend to favour a couple of 86s and a particular frog-green Honda :P

    Ryco Oil Filters

Methinks you mean oil pressure, not compression :p
  7. At this stage we'll be going in to Homebush/Olympic Park for photos after dinner
  8. Except it looks better than a Honda City :P
  9. Of course they deserve the kindness - I love RT132s, the fact that they are uncommon is what makes them stand out from other run-of-the-mill Coronas. Plus, who can say no to a plum-red crushed-velour interior?
  10. Fairly standard for Japan, it is for the people who want to turn them into track/rally cars (so no need for fancy alloys, interior bling, chances are there will be some kind of aero bodykit installed too). Same thing with WRXs, Evos etc
  11. Oooh, look at you, Mr "I'm a Victorian spotting NSW cars in Sydney"
  12. I won't be hanging around for Monday's activities unfortunately
  13. Do any of the Sydney guys have any other ideas for photoshoot places for the Saturday night in case Carriageworks and the Foreshore Rd boat-ramp are unavailable? Being 2 hours away makes it hard for me to duck out and check beforehand :P Homebush might be ok, no NRL games that night so should be pretty quiet, and it is close to the dinner spot too
  14. Define "wash"....wave a hose at it maybe? That's all I'll probably do...
  15. Kangaroo Valley and the Nasho can be a bit wet/dirty...
  16. Well its a twice a year thing :P :P :P n hey u saw my car clean @ the Melb Annual meet remember :P :P :PIt's Annual Meet this weekend, so time for another wash then?
  17. You won't be able to import one unless it is a personal import (ie you've owned it overseas for greater than 12 months) or it is for track/race use only (cannot be road registered), as ST205 GT4s were sold new in Aus (even if there were only 77 of them) If the NSW one was brought in as a proper personal import (including correct paperwork and compliancing to ADRs) then there shouldn't be an issue transferring registration to SA like it was any other car (so may need pink/blue slip, inspection etc).
  18. Don't. You're not really improving on the power front and you're going backwards in torque. For the same kind of money as a decent smallport 4AGE you could get a Gen1 3SGE from an ST162 that would be tonnes better.
  19. You won't get too much out of the 3SFE by itself, there will be mild gains with the usual intake/exhaust (I think Gen1-3 3SGE extractors do fit straight up, which gives you more options). Other than that, there is the custom turbo route which, whilst unique, won't net you the best bang for your buck. Best option is to go for a full 3SGE/3SGTE conversion, but for the money you could be better off actually buying someone else's finished project for much less than what it would cost you to do it yourself
  20. To an extent, until you get the ones that whilst look clean, it's because they've been driven 5,000km a year down the corner to the shops (so never really get warm) and haven't had an oil change since 2010.
