  1. where are you located? and which dealers have you tried?
  2. 1. Budget Direct may get you down to about $850 if you pay 12 months in advance rather then monthly. 2. The shifting is normal for the sportivo box. 3. I find the stock stereo good and I have the pre-facelift, pre-MP3 version :P 4. Naturally the Astra has more torque because of the turbo so pulls off the line quicker but the feeling in lift is unbeatable for a N/A car. You will have to join us in a trip to Wakefield Park to see how these cars can really perform on the track, even if you just ride along.
  3. no, that's your underwear after he takes you for a spin!!!

    tinting

Good choice... Thorpy says the Ming Titanium Tint if 'fully sik'!!! :P an oldie but a goodie :D
  5. AUD$ had dropped in the last few weeks so will have had a negative effect on price.
  6. WOW... goes to show how well the crumple zones and force dissipation works. Glad to see no one was seriously injured, and hoe your gf recovers soon. I head on incident is always scary to see...
  7. Yeah the cables don't stretch that tight, was actually pretty easy to connect, just had to remove the tape that joins the VSV plug wires and the MAF plug wires... melvin - check my garage, there is also a link to my garage pic on the previous page. Danz also has pics in his garage that are worth seeing, E-Gene has his posted in this thread!!!
  8. E-Gene - I've noticed mine is a slightly different design to yours and Danz?? There is a less dramatic elbow on it. The silicon join also fitted over the throttle body with no problems at all. I think there may have been a minor re-design cos mine fit beautifully.
  9. wouldn't the import tax disappear under the US free trade agreement?
  10. delivery is US$100 + US$180 for the CAI + US$5 for insurance = US$285 (all this info is provided on the link I've given). Using the current exchange rate of AUD$0.77 to US$1.00 this is AUD$370.13. I said ~AUD$400??? This of course is if you purchase through the E-Bay seller... By all means if you find a better deal, go for it!!!! :D
  11. My kit was bought 2nd hand (unused) from Doctony (another member) as he is going overseas. But he bought it from this E-Bay shop for ~$400 AUD shipped to your door. I tryed to get in touch with Online Performance as an Australian seller of the system but they never replied to my e-mails in time. From hearing comments from othe members though the E-Bay seller is the best way to go, they have an Aust rep that you can send the money to to make things easier. All you have to do is specify the colour you want (Blue, Red, Chrome or Clear coated). As mentioned above the CAI is a perfect fit, abolutely no cutting of anything at all. EDIT: fixed the links... :D
  12. I'll definately be keeping an eye out for that one ;)
  13. James and Takeshi came in 3rd in round 3 from Malaysia 2 weekends ago making the DYNACITY TOM'S SUPRA (see my avatar pic) the first Toyota Supra home. They are now ranked 2nd in the championship 3 points back from the leaders; Satoshi Motoyama and Richard Lyons driving a XANAVI NISMO Z Next round Sugo in 2 weeks time... :D I love the sugo track, it was great when the Superbikes used to go there, not really a car track though, too twisty.
  14. No Z u just cant drive :P :P :P I mean im hearing stories of a stocker whooping ur a55 :P :P :P :P ← it isn't just a normal stocker though its a F.U.S.S :P plus i don't drive good under pressure :P i want a rematch!!!! :D :P ← :P
  15. The AFM is on the back of the pipe basically directly opposite the positive terminal of the battery in the picture. You can also see the Blue clip from the VSV controller just behind it there also. There is a bracket that came with the kit to position the VSV on but the bracket to locate it on is connected to the 'lower VSV' which is only on the Matrix and not on our cars, so at the moment it is just hanging there until I can fabricate something. Sorry Bill, it's staying chrome, just the way I like it... :P it looks nice and clean in chrome I feel.
  16. sorry to hear about your loss... but at least you get a new one!!!! :D If it's like the '03-'04 model the spare wheel space is quite deep so a spare 17" mag should fit provided you have a similar, or lower olling diameter. The biggest consern would be the small overlap with the boot line, I'm not sure how much space there is to play with there. It may be better to go for 205/45r17 or 215/40r17 too as they are less likely to srub.
  17. AEM CAI (chrome) I posted this quick pick last night in my garage but was too tired to provide a link :P but it's here now :D
  18. i know Bill but i've already got a K&N pod for cheap cheap so might use it first unless i can sell it ;) ← you could always let me borrow it for the test Dyno too :)
  19. Zee I think the smaller one is better as it has a larger surface area because of the funnel. Larger the surface area of the filter element the greater the suction, and we all know it's all about the suction ;)
  20. Fitted the silver AEM pipe tonight and all I can say is that the fit is PERFECT!!! The filter is almost identical to the bottom one Zee has posted (Stock AEM one though) and is just a little large for the light. I had to remove the light to install but put it back in and the filter has moved a little but still secure with no leaks aparent. The sound above 6000RPM is awesome just like the TRD one. I'll post some pics tomorrow night when I've had a chance to take a few more in the day light. If someone would like to provide me with a K&N pod I'm hoping to do a few comparisons of filter on the Dyno. AEM, K&N, ITG, APEXi if someone has one spare, pependant on what prices I can get to do the tests :P I'll look for a Dyno place that is happy to have me there for the day at 1 hour intervals, to change pods, re-calibrate the ECU for each one and then run.
  21. But in those things you NEED the warranty!!!
