  1. I don't know the actual payload in the back of my car when I moved form Adelaide to here but it had 5 mounted photographs (1 x Valentino Rossi and 4 x Ayrton Senna), my computer (desktop with a 19" CRT monitor), clothes (1 suitcase a large bag and loose stuff thrown around), shoes, bedding, sleeping bag, pillows, TV (51cm CRT), VCR, PS2, Stereo system + speakers (2 main plus 3 surround) plus my dad in the passenger seat. The rear was weighed down so much it looked like it was lowered and when I was driving at night (about 1/2 an hour coming in to Wagga Wagga for a well earned meal and a good nights sleep) everyone flashed me to drop the high beams to which I flashed back (they got the picture) It was also 6 weeks before I raised the seat again so dosn't quite break your 156 days though...
  2. I would have said she was guitly for not giving way to the right but she was the first one on the round about and the law states to give way to all other cars already on the round about... again, enough grey area to get you off...

    Big Ad

Finally saw it today... REALLY BIG... simply beer remined me of the British Airways one from about 10 years ago that won heaps of awards
  4. cool, it was so long ago now I'd assumed they were all done. The dealer who installed the ECU should have left a silver sticker inside the drivers door next to the hinges. It can be clearly seen when you sit in the drivers seat, open the door and tilt your head to the right a little. If the sticker is not there I think they can check on a database to see in the VIN number is registered as having the upgrade performed.
  5. Welcome Vitagen... good to know you are happy with your purchase. Unfortunately you cannot ask Toyota to do the things you mentioned for you as they require aftermarket parts that they do not endorse. You'll have to do some shopping around...
  6. To set a higher redline you need a full replacement ECU like the APEXi PowerFC rather then a piggyback ecu like the unichip.
  7. The whole Nitrogen thing os a load of Baloney made up by Tyre servicing companies so that can charge people $5 a pop to fill their tyres with gas. The is a difference in Motor Racing where the Tyre walls are thinner (allowing easier diffusion of the gas molecules) and the temperatures are more extreme, increasing the rate of oxidation as well as assisting the diffusion of gas also. But the difference it make to road tyres is negligable for the usual lifetime of your tyres. Sure if they are going to be in storage for a long period of time, of your car is a show-piece in a collection and is rarelt driven there will be a longevity advantage through less tyre degredation over 10 years but in the usual 2 year lifetime we have on our tyres the advantage will not be noticed... But hey who are you going to believe the polymer chemist or the car-care professional...
  8. just added you to the list ;) Well done Bill... keep it up :D

    New Club

And now we welcome Bill to the 1000 post club :D Welcome...
  10. you said GP2 so I was assuming you were thinking of it as a stepping stone back to F1 :P I actually tip James to do a little bit of open wheeler driving as one of the drivers the Australian entry into A1GP will use (hopefully at Eastern Creek) but it depends on when the Super-GT season finishes. Alan Jones would be crazy to pass up having a driver of James quality and experience behind the wheel. But most likely he will use his son (Christian Jones) but why??? What has he achieved other then being the son of a former World Champion???
  11. I wish... I just get updates off the net... I don't know of anywhere that airs this in Australia... even on Cable. If you get one of those big a55 satalite dishes you could get if from Asia though ;)
  12. Perhaps it was the Echo Sportivo... ;) ;)
  13. Why??? He gets treated like a king in Super-GT and now has no interest in returning to F1 due to the politics and in fighting. He earns far more in Super-GT then he could ever hope to get in F-NIPPON or GP2 which are mostly fund-your-self drives...
  14. hehehehe I did the same thing and actually meant I missed the first time Zee and Dave went out to Wakefield (I was soooo p!ssed). But I didn't notice the lift thing, maybe it was the ECU? Give it a couple of weeks and see how it feels. Personally I was feeling strange about the lift in my car since I put the CAI on but after a couple of weeks of driving with it now and the ECU reconfiguring the A/F ratios it feels fine... I say just give it time and see how it feels then :)
  15. WOOOO HOOOOO Supra's come home 1,2,3 and 4... Dynacity TOM's team came in 1 and 3 with Tatsuya Kataoka and Sakon Yamamoto 1st and Takeshi Tsuchiya and James Courtney 3rd The DENSO SARD SUPRA came in 2nd with Andre Couto and Ronnie Quintarelli 4th was the ESSO Ultraflo Supra with Juichi Wakisaka and Akira Iida Takeshi Tsuchiya and James Courtney are now the series points leaders and storming away... :D Come on James, keep it up :D
  16. Agree... cars get scratched... it's a fact of life like dying and taxes... It's best not to get hung up about it. Don't get me wrong I look after my car, but it's got swirl marks and car park incident marks etc. I just don't get too hung up about it. My car is NOT my life, it's mearly a means for my personal enjoyment... Am I going to enjoy it any more if it had less visible swirl marks..?? Most likely not I'll simply be more hung up about anything that did happen, which I personaly do not enjoy
  17. If you take the rim off and look on the inside you will see a small plate with all the information on it (conversely you could also look at the spare which doesn't require you taking the wheel off :P)
  18. get a 3S-GE conversion, maybe even a 3S-GTE... :D
  19. There's a good article about it in the Cars Guide in todays Sunday Telegraph, apparently the RX8 and S2000 were overlooked too :D
  20. This will open a big can of worms but you have all got it wong... The title should simply state in NSW 'p' platers can't drive... :P Before I get flamed please compare the way you get your license to the rigorous log book that is needed to be done in South Australia, with a qualified driving instructor mind you to, not just your parents saying you did 20 hours this week... and look at the amount of training that goen into actually getting your license. What needs to change is the driver education system, don't punish 'p' platers for skills they never posessed but you are hoping they will learn... somehow??? EDIT: Since moving over here form Adelaide I've both been amazed and apalled with the ease in which licenses are handed out over here... It really is the system that is shameful...
