If we have some decent interest, we can arrange with the WSID organisers to have our own staging lane set up!! This means we can race against each other and get an almost "priority" treatment on the night!!! GRUDGE MATCHES!!!
  2. Would be leaving Wollongong about 3-3:30 to get up there some time around 5pm If you want to go helmet shopping, let me know cos I'm going to buy one too :) Any motorbike store would sell them just don't but second hand cos you don't know if it's been dropped of not. You cannot rent helmets at WSID from what I understand. visit the toymods thread for more info... Toymods WSID dates and info...
  3. IMO the AEM CAI fits best of all. Aligns to the trottle body perfectly and there was no need to adjust any brackets at all. it only issue was the pod up against the spot light but all CAIs will have this issue, but can be rectifies easilly by adding another (~30degree) silicon between the pipe and the pod.
  4. yep... trying to get a few more rollas involved so the private lane does happen!!! :D
  5. Toymods are heading out to WSID on 31-8-05 and 21-9-05 - nights... I'm looking to go to one or both of these events to put some times down and get a bit of practice in before I get the Exhaust fitted (my 1st time on the strip!!!) and also now my clutch is 'improved' (but still not perfect) from what I understand they are trying to organise for private, priority staging lanes for members (and guests I guess) to got the most runs in. I'd like to get a few more rollas out there so I don't have to always be up against the Supras and Cressidas... and we can set up a few 'grudge' matches... :D :D :D
  6. dunno... we don't get traction control over here...

    Tyres

205/50 is actually the limit, you will struggle to fit any of the tyres mentioned onto the stock rims... well the 205/55 will fit but your rolling diameter will be greater then standard and hence you will be more prone to speeding... 205/50r16 is actually the standard for the WRX
  8. Thinking of heading out on the 31st August to see how the newly adjusted clutch works... anyone want to join me??
  9. ruinningagoodgamebybeingad!ck sorry mate, it was funny the first time but can you stick to the rules
  10. AEM fits without any modifications no worries!!! :D
  11. at one of the major services get Toyota to do it when they change the Engine oil. I got them to put Penrite 10 tenths into my box today, feels OK, but getting used to the adjusted clutch too, will keep you posted on how it feels in a few weeks/months...
  12. I'm booked in for Western Toyota tomorrow morning but I'll keep the brakes in mind... 1 more thing to add to the list...
  13. 1976 RA23 Celica that my brother and I shared but he managed to crash 2003 ZZE123 Corolla Sportivo, all mine and still straight EDIT: add a 1989 MR2 AW11 to the list :) My brother also owns a 4-Runner now too :P
  14. What is referred to as CES on here is 'CES racing' (Custom Exhaust Specialist Racing) an exhaust specialist in Brisbane who have made an exhaust that has proven gains on the sportivo. What you are referring to as CES is 'Custom Exhaust System' as in an exhaust unit. Please don't confuse the two...
  15. SPEEDY Lite 7s are 17" x 7" and ET +45 and have no fitment issues. The issue is not the depth of the wheel arch (affected by the wheel width) as they are actually quite deep and roomy, but the gap to the fender guard (affected by offset and less so by the tyre width and design)
  16. you could try Liverpool exhaust as they advertise having a custom exhaust for the Corolla, Influx and xTiGeRx also have a custom system from somewhere but I'm not sure where, you should ask one of them...
  17. was the car on an angle when you tryed leaning forward or in a rapid accelaration or decelaration as the G-Forces affect the pretensioners, happens on my parents Subarus too.
  18. yeah, but any wheel with and offset of +40 or greater will fit (I think even +38 may too)
  19. I'm sure something can be arranged closer to the date ;)
