If the tip doesn't at least come to the edge of the bumper you will get the black soot all over the bumper and after a while it will stain your paint. As for the burning smell it's just prolly paint etc burning off and nothing to worry about. It'll disappear in a day or 2. As for the the tip being crooked take back and tell them to fix it!! -

After CES staff pulling the dyno apart to see what the problem could be it was then decided in the interest of everyone's safety that no more cars could be run on the dyno. Humble apologies to all who missed out but unfortunately it was an unforseen circumstance. In all a great day was had by all with an absolutely huge breakfast that consisted of sausages, eggs, bacon, fruit, pancakes, fruit juice, tea, coffee, soft drink and of course lollies. Again a big thank you to CES for having us and we all are looking forward to next year. Cheers Silvabullit :D Now I'm off to bed for a few hours of catch up sleep so don't call me Azza

MELB PPlz! - Best Places to lower Stivo
SILVABULLIT replied to oVo's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
King Springs are not the same as Lovells. As for Pedders springs they are King springs painted RED!!! How do I know you ask???? I know someone who works for King springs ;) Eibachs are a lot more expensive over the rest as they aren't made here. But as far as Spring Prices as concerned - Kings lows $220 Installation - $150 Wheel Alignment $50 This is pretty much the average of what it costs in Brisbane anyway. Between $380 - $450. Or get someone from the forum to fit them for you who was the correct tools to do the job. I've done too many sets to remember and it isn't really that hard. The only problem with suspension shops doing it is that they almost always break clips on your boot trim cause they pull it out incorrectly. -
pulsar vs a sportivo????????????
SILVABULLIT replied to MarkMish's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
OOOHHH so when are you driving up to Brisbane to pay us a visit then ??????????????? -
You have to use the springs supplied as the spring retainers are machined to fit the springs in the kit. They are a kit that you simply weld the sleeve over your standard strut with the thread on it and use the top mount and there you have a coilover of sorts where you can easily adjust the height but not dampener etc unless you use Koni sports struts. Be careful as welding struts can make the oil inside heat up and also can affect the operation of the valving etc with the intense heat. Not something to attempt at home!!(unless your Rollamods ;) :P )

Just had the Sportivo Rear Ended
SILVABULLIT replied to mtbrider's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
Weatheralls smash repairs are a suncorp recommended repairer at Windsor behind Maccas on Lutchywe rd. Have used them before and they are very good and are in fact one of the nominated BMW/Merc/Porsche repairers. -
pulsar vs a sportivo????????????
SILVABULLIT replied to MarkMish's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
With the price of fuel these days a SSS Pulsar isn't worth the $1.30-40 a litre (in Brisbane) to show them just what the back of my car looks like. -
Just had the Sportivo Rear Ended
SILVABULLIT replied to mtbrider's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
Very sorry to hear that Trevor. :( the boot doesn't have a sensor that i can see to trick unlike the other doors so I would be turning the interior light off and just using the key to unlock. Sensor must be in the catch or something like that. -
Going down into 2nd from 90 is quite harsh, at least rev match the car so you dont get a sudden *****. Cant be too good for the car in the long run. Having the stivo for quite a while, it does sometimes feel impractical. Having to rev so much to get moving, everyone thinks you are a hoon. More torque would have been more practical for everyday driving. But being able to rev it up is a perk that you dont experienece on every car. The right mods in the right places eliminates the need for a lot of revs to get it moving. There are some very good manufacturers out there that make stuff for the Sportivo that increase torque at lower RPM and make the car even better to drive than it already is. B) Do your research on products based on what you require not how much noise or whether or not it has the fancy tuner name brand attached to it. :D
