  1. Looks like the drugs have already claimed the majority of your brain cells If you don't know who Joe Satriani is then you my friend know didly squat about music ;) And if you don't like it then swallow some pills and put on your trance music and dance yourself in to a coma :P man, that was really uncalled for... so below the belt... i bet you havent heard the majority of bands i like, see me saying **** to people? no.... Hey man chill dude, Silvabullit is just playin around (Hence all the smilies) its all good.
  2. Hehehe I have a varied taste in music, My Fiance is not a fan of HIM or C&C so I reserve them for when im on my own, she is however a fan of James Blunt, SOAD and a few others that I like so thats what plays, something we both enjoy :). dude, you listen to James (****ing) Blunt and Coheed & Cambria? WTF is up with that.. please tell me its a typo
  3. Our stacker currently has: System Of A Down - Mezmerize Thirst Merc - (Can't remember the album name) James Blunt - Back To Bedlam Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway Various - Big Day Out (I only play the Wolfmother song off this CD) The other slot varies between HIM and Coheed & Cambria but sometimes gets a little play with Godspeed You Black Emperor. Its kind of hard in my industry because I get about 15 CD's per week dumped on my desk so most of the time there is just too much variety.
  4. I haven't heard about any 1.5 VVTL-i engine, what kind of power is it making? Thats exactly what I was wondering :)
  5. Congrats man, I will only be a little over a year behind you, I can't wait to move there :).
  6. Cheers man, I don't quite think the Fairmont will ever give me the sheer driving pleasure that is the Corolla Sportivo but yah know, a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do :).
  7. Well thats about it for me, I am getting married in 15 months and can't justify the costs of the loan repayments on the Sportivo anymore. I have managed to pick up my folks old car (2002 Fairmont) for $10,000 it was simply too good to refuse :). The sportivo will be put in for warranty repairs in Jan and then sold straight after :).
  8. Well be sure to keep us updated on your project whichever path you choose :)
  9. Check this thread: http://forums.club4ag.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=123497 Basically the guys on there are saying that finding and configuring a supercharger for your FE type motor would be more hassle than just dropping in the Already configured GZE motor. Also this link: http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=46475 provides similar info. I also found a link on google (but its dead so have had to copy and paste from the cache) with the following info: turbo definitely would be easier to install in the 7AFE engine, I tried to do the Supercharger route, but was unable to find the space for it since SC's are pulley driven...not to mention that there is a HUGE gaping hole in front of your manifold that is perfect to hold a turbo...plus the cool WWHHHHHOOOOOOPPPPIIIISHHHH factor, I'm sorry, I'm all about the WHHOOOOOOPISHHH That was posted by "concept1" on the corolla-racing forum. Anything is possible with the right budget but its up to you what is or is not worth it. IMO your best option at this point for what you want is to install a 4AGZE, sell the 7AFE and 4AFE to try and recoup some of the purchase costs for the ZE, this motor is designed for what you are looking for.
  10. You don't have to have EFI for forced induction, a friend threw a turbo on his Carbie driven Mini, 40MM webber if memory serves correctly (as opposed to my twin 1.25" SU's)
  11. Hi, just so you know, KW and BHP are measurements of the same thing, 10KW = 13.5BHP The 7AFE is the same motor that was in the 2001 Sportivo but without the turbo (Turbo model being 7FTE). The turbo model pushed out 115KW and 237NM torque. The none turbo model kicks out 85KW and 154Nm of torque. The 4AFE you are currently running puts out 78KW of power and 135Nm of torque. The gain of the 7AFE is 7KW and 18NM of torque. Hope that helps you out with your figures. in my opinion I would consider the 4AFE with a turbo (or supercharger but turbos are generally a bit cheaper I think) being that you already have the motor but others on here may have a better opinion, im not exactly a mechanical person :). If you want to get your current motor KW up to the same as the 7FTE you will need to run about 5 and a half pounds of boost on your current motor which is not perticularly hard to ask from your current motor. Alternatively save up more cash and get a 4AGZE ;) which will give you 125KW and 206NM of torque. Lots of juicy specs on 4AG motors here: http://home.clear.net.nz/pages/phil.bradsh...0into%20RWD.htm
  12. I see lots of females driving them but not many venture on to an internet forum really, its still perceived to be a majority male area. I thought there would be more chicks that own a Sportivo on here! ←
  13. Anglo Indian Mother, English Father, born in England, moved here at almost age 14. I was proud when I turned 28, it meant I had been here longer than the UK (Which I hated and love Aus)
  14. Mine does a similar thing, it also does it in neutral at a standstill, its completely random when it happens and it sounds like someone saying "Whoop" in a rather high voice. At first my Fiance and I thought it was cute and Sammy (my Sportivo) was talking to us but its happening more and more often now, we are starting to get a little concerned. I used to think it was the Engine mounts because it seemed to be when I changed gear and stuff but like I said, now its also in neutral, clutch on or clutch off there seems to be no link to anything I do from the drivers seat.
  15. Where do they find all this stuff :) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=55...57013716&q=porn I know it has the word porn in it but its perfetly work safe and everything :).
  16. Hehehe thanks but I nabbed it from the Mazda forums, those boys post tons of funny things :).

  18. I finally had to get new tires, I got some Dunlop 3000A sports things or something, apparently they are good :). Anyone else got these tires?
  19. The Yaris is just the Echo, its renamed to fall in line with the rest of the world, kind of how Mitsu stopped the mirage and changed to the Colt, everyone else in the world already knew it as the colt :).
  20. Use a capital F when you rename the asterisks and it works fine
  21. You mean some people actually pay for these extended warranty's? **** mine was always included :).
  22. This is true, your 3 year factory warranty is not jeapordised so long as the services are done at a qualified mechanic who can stamp your book. However the extended warranty is void as soon as someone other than Toyota touch your car. I pay $60 - $90 for a service at our family mechanic. Toyota used to charge me around $300 claiming I needed an injector overhaul every friggin service, this is absolute crap, all they do is throw one of those stupid injector cleaner blocks in the tank and charge you $100 extra for it. The dealers have to somehow recover the cost of giving you an extended warranty, this is how they do it. My theory is if my car aint broke within the first three years, it aint going to break. well thats all well and good for you.. however most people buy new cars for the warranty it comes with.. I was under the understanding that a car MUST be serviced by a licensed mechanic to retain warranty.. (not necessarily toyota but any registered mechanic) ←
