  1. The service sticker on my windscreen says the next service is due at "5000k or 10000k" I dont think a 5000k service is necessary and it will only line the dealers pockets with my money, so unless someone can tell me why the car needs to be serviced at 5000k the next time my car goes back to Toyota will be at 10000k.
  2. Xoom, Spot on!!! When I bought the car the chick offered an extended Lander warranty but I had to pay for it and the car had to go back to them to be serviced. I live at Penrith so I did not want to go all the way back to Blacktown and spend all day there while my car is serviced . When I picked my car up the sales rep tried to sell me an extended warranty again <_< but I still was not interested ;) When I went to the accountant chick to hand over my money :( she filled out this booklet and gave it to me and said the car comes with an extended 3 year Lander warranty, I thought to myself she thinks I have paid for it but I havent , because Lander is such a big dealer there appears to be a brake down in communication between employees. But because I took my car to Penrith Toyota for its first service the extended warranty is void
  3. Mines black, had to wait 10 weeks but I am glad I did ,no paint protection but time will tell if it was a wise choice. Doolybird, sounds like you got a good deal! :D What was your drive away price? Dont lie now.
  4. Xoom and Tiger, I bought my car from Lander and apart from them not keeping me informed of the delivery delay, which I complained about when I got the questionaire from Toyota, I have not had any problems with my car. I took my car to Penrith Toyota for its first service because it was free But after reading what Sharmz has said about Penrith Toyota I might try Castle Hill myself for the next service because I will have to pay for that one.
  5. I was offered paint protection with my car, like everyone else. But when I researched the car on the Toyota web site (like everyone else) I noticed that the car had a 3 year warranty on the paint. So I asked myself will I keep the car for 3 years, the answer, most likely not. So for me getting paint protection was not worth the expense. There appears to be doubt here as to wether paint protection protects the paint as the dealer claims or not. I think in my case I made a good decission not to get it.
  6. Hey Influx, Ive seen your car in real life, it looks good without being too over the top. I was not sure how a Stivo would look lowered but yours looks great. That was me you followed along Castlereagh/Mulgoa Roads towards Jamison Town this afternoon about 2pm. :D
  7. No Magic, Mine is black with standard factory wheels.......... at the moment.
  8. Your car looks great Influx, I like the wheels :D But those photos were taken at Jamison Park, I live just around the corner. Next time let me know about the meeting and I will tag along to.
  9. I agree with Lucio,I started using Synergy 8000, only because that was all I could buy at Cremorne on Friday night and have found this to be the best. :D
  10. I have been lucky up till now. Although my car has only done around 1500k the only problem with my car has been the hand brake needed tightening up. I have not had any dash vibrations or gear selector problems...........YET.
  11. DITTO to all the above as well. Predictions for 2004.... Toyota to bring out a Turbo charged Sportivo version, The Panthers to be the 2004 NRL premiers again :D
  12. My car went in for its 1000k service at Penrith toyota this morning. I ask the service guy about the idle speed and he said 1000rpm when warm is the correct idle speed. Apart from getting the hand brake adjusted there were no other problems with my car. :D
  13. I agree with BlackRolla this meeting is a bit rushed. Maybe we could meet one Sunday afternoon, say at Parramatta Park maybe.
  14. Gentlemen,The bonnet scoop in the link magic 32 has provided is exactly what I was harpin on about :D This type of bonnet should have been made as standard equipment or a least an optional extra.I know I would have happly paid a extra $2000 for such a great looking bonnet. This would have certainly made the Sportivo stand out from the run of the mill Levins and Conquests. <_< Who is going to be first to the bragging rights and the oportunity to big note themselves and purchase one?
  15. "Auburn maccas"!!!! You have got to be kidding.I agree with sharmz. :o
  16. Any comments on the rather bland bonnet the Sportivo has. I think the car should have had some sort of scoop or a bonnet vent like the rally version or the Peugeot 206.Does anyone have plans of getting bonnet modifacation done.
  17. Tiger,Preformance wise do you know if the TRD panel filter is really worth shelling out $150 for. I am cosidering getting one in a couple of weeks. <_<
  18. I agree with lucio. Most of the problems you are reading about is nothing more than nitpicking because we all have new cars.
  19. Does any one know if K+N make a stivo filter, I reckon it would be a lot cheaper. I ran one in my 94 TX3 Laser and for around $90 it was worth every cent.
  20. I am glad I read your post Black Roller!!! I just went out and gave my car the once over and the paint job appears to be ok.Your paint problem sounds to me like it is poor workmanship and poor quality control in the factory in South Africa. I hope the dealer can fix the problem for you.
  21. I am not suprised to hear it takes so long to get parts. Look how long it takes to get a new car. Be patient Black Roller be patient.
  22. Hi Guys. :D My Stivo after it has warmed up and without the air conditioner on is idling at about 1000rpm. This seems a little high to me, does anyone know what the correct idle speed should be.
