  1. Yeah I know, I am not prepared to spend $130 for a genuine filter . I want it to be the identical and same size for reasonable price as it is just paper and plastic. It looks like in Australia they don't sell them, only genuine ones, maybe down the track there will be more options to choose from but for now there is none. The price should be $30 max $50 but not $130.... Sometime I think, that I am trying to get parts for BMW and not Toyota where it supposed to be more affordable and easy to get I just found a very good video on fuel filters and it made me lough so much : So if anyone interested changing their fuel filter you can get it for $20 plus $25 USD postage via DHL from China. I looked everywhere and still could not find any other place selling it for a better price. This is a good place to find the right part numbers: http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/g_G_2013_TOYOTA_AURION_GSV50R-JETNKQ.html
  2. I did not replaced any seals/o-rings, I just made sure everything is at the right place. I had hard starting at first, but that was due to the empty filter, after that it was all normal and probably starts now a bit quicker after cleaning the fuel strainer, it was a reasonably dirty. I just got an email from Eziauto Parts that they don't have that size filter even Ryco does not have it. They only have the one I got, but it is a wrong size. They suggested to get a genuine one... So i probably going to get one from here: 77024-06280
  3. As some of you may know, I'm been trying to find the right fuel filter and I thought that I did find it..... I was wrong I thought I got the right one but when I pulled it apart, I found that it is not the one I need. And when I was looking all the photos on the net I actually never saw a long version of the filter I have in my car. This filter was suggested by eziautoparts: Ryco Fuel Filter Z936 That's the one I got... It is also not Ryco Fuel Filter Z646 I did clean the fuel strainer only, with a brake cleaner for now. It should be something like this: Toyota Aurion GSV50R 77024-06280 Original filter cost $130 look for number 7702406280 it is part number for the fuel filter. Or I found it in this fuel kit:
  4. You are most likely will need to remove the door panel first...
  5. Thanks, you are right, I was a bit confused, the filter should look like this:
  6. I been looking for a fuel filter for Aurion 2013. I just need your help to identify the right fuel filter. I came across Ryco Fuel Filter Z646 $47 and its generic Z646 $14 I also asked Eziauto Parts auto for their suggestion and they gave me these parts: Ryco: Z936 - http://www.eziautoparts.com.au/ryco-fuel-filter-z936.html ($101.50) Wesfil: WCF300 - http://www.eziautoparts.com.au/wesfil-fuel-filter-wcf300.html ($48.70) Which fuel filter I would be able to fit in Aurion 2013?
  7. and for the battery I can suggest Ctek Mxs 7.0 the 5 Amp choice may be a bit slow especially if your battery is completely flat, but if you charge overnight it probably does not matter anyway. But I must say that the prices for Cteck charges has been increased a bit... due to weak Oz dollar. So instead of the Ctek I can recommend FOXSUR 8A or this with cigarette lighter plug, depending of your battery size you can choose 2A, 4A and 8A. It also comes with the ambient temperature control just like in the more expensive Ctek range. I believe it is made in the same factory in China as Ctek, but due to patents and region distributions where it can be sold, the factory itself came up with the alternative design. And there also Hyundai also considered to be very good, but not very known here. They all made in China same factory and technology the way it charges is all the same they just come under a different name. Initially probably it was started by Ctek but then once it is out there in China it is just gets copied and replicated.
  8. Another battery suggestion is EXIDE EXTREME X55D23CMF [CCA 650] which is the rebranded Supercharge battery and made at the same factory. You can buy either at Kmart or at Costco with a heavy discount if you have Costco membership or a very good friend who can help you to get it from Costco :) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/EXIDE-EXTREME-X55D23CMF-Car-Battery-For-Lexus-ES300-GS300-IS250-C-IS300/172372108477?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
  9. Has anyone had a chance to drive for at least 7 days in the city area with traffic lights? I don't think anyone can say that their consumption 10L in that scenario. The roadcraft becomes irrelevant. If you look on some European forums, people who live and drive 3.5L engine in the city area only, their real consumption at least 15L and above and during winter time (-15C), it is at least 20L and above. The magic 7.5L, 10L and 12L numbers come when the car driven on the highway. For instance, people who live outside the city and come to work or shopping to the inner city areas and then go back home via highway. Then you get 7.5L on highway and 10L or 12L with traffic lights and bit of traffic jam in the city or busy raods, for half a day. And in the evening you go back home via highway or open road with 8L. For people who live and commute in the city areas 15-18L is normal, the biggest killer is a traffic jam for 3.5L engine, the consumption will just grow bit by bit, day by day.
  10. These pictures from Aliexpress website, could you take some photos from your car and uploaded them here, by any chance?
  11. Once those 3d mats are in they are in.... they are not very convenient to take them out, but easy to vacuum clean or wipe. For the front seats I had some bending issue in the side corner. I was able to fix it withe hair dryer, I heated the area and straightened the corner, the way it should be. Maybe for you it won't be an issue. But if there will be some bending problems just use the hair dryer, the material will flex with the heat and take any shape you want. Sometime Ebay gives some discounts like 10% or 15% off, so that would be the time to get it for a better price.... https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/302466 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/301490
  12. Try to clean air flow and oxygen filters. And get one of those injector cleaners, It helped me, my consumption was 18+ liters, now around 12 liters. Most of my driving I am doing around the city, constant traffic during the peak hours will gradually increase consumption, especially when you stuck in the traffic for 5-10 min and you drive bumper to bumper. That's what happens in my case.
  13. Excellent!!!! Did you make that video yourself???
  14. Just add 3k more and get this instead: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/toyota/auction-1246457541.htm
  15. Yeah, i also was about just to get carpet version, the carpet looks and feels incredibly good.... but then I took a deep thought..... and realised that carpet is very good to touch and feel when it is clean only. With the family we like to go to the beach on weekends and sand always gets inside, so cleaning becomes a long procession. The regular rubber mats look very industrial. So these mats was somewhere in between carpet and rubber.
  16. Some of you may know I'm been looking for the floor mats for sometime.... What I found is that the Camry mats will fit perfectly in Aurion, you just need to make sure they don't come with Camry sign, that's what happened to me :))), so I have to return them back. Then while looking for another set of mats I came across 3d mats, it also available in carpet version. I actually went to their warehouse/factory, they also make tailored carpets. So after some comparison I decided to go with their rubber/soft plastic version, as it is just too much effort to maintain carpet. At the end I highly recommend these mats to anyone. They fit perfectly in Aurion. If you pay him cash you he will do $140. You can also read more feedback from Amazon.
  17. Ooh, Ok looks like someone already been doing it with good results. How much do you think they may charge for that job, I am in Melbourne could someone suggest a good place for doing that hydrodipping. When I was looking at some of those websites I could not find their pricing list at all.
  18. Just came across water transfer printing, has anyone done something similar: I would not mind to do with mine brown wood and silver inserts panels something similar: From this To these:
  19. try to look up here: http://www.eziautoparts.com.au/
