  1. Choices? My guess it's on the Tianjin Highway which gets into Port Kembla on the 16th of July.
  2. EEEK! I'm on a boat now. Not sure which one though since I thought my window was the 3rd or 10th. So maybe it made the 3rd and only updated today, as I understand it should be going from Yokohama via a K Line boat?
  3. Nothing was promised. It was an educated guess looking at the manufacting start date and K line schedule. Next boat leaving on the 10th. Time will tell!
  4. Mine didn't make the boat today :( Looking forward to hearing your first impressions!
  5. Looking at the K Line site and taking a guess I may be on a ship on either the 3rd or 10th. Fingers crossed it's the earlier!
  6. Finally some progress. In production!
  7. ***** poor response. I was half expecting "In soviet Russia GPS updates you" For the folks soon to take delivery put it your dealer to update the unit before you drive home.
  8. Good point to raise. I asked my dealer if they could throw in map updates with future servicing and got a flat no. With supply constraints and popularity the ball is in their court. But 2015 maps on a new car is ridiculous!
  9. still scheduled for me. Hoping that changes by the end of the month. Happy for you (and a little jealous). ;)
  10. Nice work. Did you pull out the trim or stick on with it still in the car?
  11. That sucks! Let us know if you get your hands on the manual. I'm sure a few of us would chuck in a few bucks for a copy! I'm thinking of swapping out the factory stereo. Has anyone taken the plunge?
  12. I think the Kona is ugly, but I'd rather see a distinctive design than a boring same-same addition to the fleet.
  13. I have no ire, I'm happy to see more C-HRs on the road! I'm only going to be genuinely annoyed if my delivery date slips past the ETA by a significant amount. :)
  14. I've finally got my login sorted. Sadly it looks like I'm behind you guys. :(
  15. I'm starting to wonder how educated the dealerships are on the tracking system. If they can't deliver tomorrow I'll hit up Toyota Australia. Glad to see yours is in production. Hoping mine is too.
  16. Another day. Another reminder sent for the tracking details. :/
  17. I haven't heard a single good thing about the Toyota Link App. Why Toyota isn't moving to Car Play and Android Auto is beyond me. Kenwood have some nice head units which seem straight forward enough to install. No GPS Nav but both apple and google interfaces. Although the RRP of $1,200 is pretty steep! The wide screen edition that suits the Toyota dash doesn't have DAB+ so you have to go the regular size with the facial plates on either side. The perfectionist in me wants a wide screen DAB+ unit.
  18. Europeans get DAB+ radio as standard. Kinda miffed they dropped it on the Aussie version. They also get a self parking function. I can live without it but it would be a fun little piece of technology. I would love to know how the US 2L engine drives. I'm happy I made the jump now but it will be interesting to see what the second gen brings.
  19. So my stock controller is on holidays until Wednesday. So hopefully they can sort it then. Bugger!
  20. Update - the dealer provided what they thought were tracking details, so I still can't login. Another email sent. :/
  21. Let us know how you go with Toyota direct. I'm sitting here envisioning a factory line, a yellow and black Koba slowly rolling down it. I have too much time on my hands.
  22. What was the time between ordering and delivery?
  23. Still waiting for my tracking details. Sent a friendly reminder to the dealer. *taps foot impatiently* ;)
  24. I take your point but my expectation on a two trim level car that they should know one from another. Perhaps there are some good folks at SCT but at both their sites I was ignored on the floor which is pretty poor. I'm happy to forgive my sales person not proactively giving me the tracking details, he was quick to let me know he's on it which I appreciate. Toyota corporate will ask to fill out a post purchase survey. Poor feedback can be quite costly to the dealership in terms of incentive they receive off sales. Use your power fairly and allow management at the dealership to provide service if it's truly lacking from a particular person.
  25. It's a frustrating wait but I'm hoping it'll be worth it. I've hit up my dealership for the tracking details on Friday, the salesperson said they would track it down for me. They gave me a July 31st delivery date from the get go. I haven't had any other dealings but they were friendly and quick to respond. Sorry to hear about your experience. That said during the shopping phase I did walk into some terrible dealerships. Probably the worst was Sydney City Toyota who throughly ignored me on the showroom floor, didn't understand the Koba was the top spec variant and then later over the phone said the price was higher than that on its own website! Looking forward to my new car. The wait is a PITA, but good things come to those who wait. We will probably have our new toys on the same boat.
